Traci’s POV

The second we finally escaped the training gym, I let out a long breath. Getting out of there had been a battle all by itself. Apparently, pinning one of the kings in front of half the palace had become today’s entertainment. Warrior after warrior had tried convincing me to stay just a little longer. Some wanted another sparring match. Others wanted pointers. A few simply wanted to watch someone else challenge me.

I loved every second of it. Unfortunately, my muscles reminded me

Traci’s POV “Jordan?” I frowned as Sharon continued screaming the name over and over. “Who’s Jordan?” I reached out through our link. Raiden looked over at me before giving a slight shake of his head. “I don’t know.” Before I could ask anyone else, Zayden answered through the mindlink. “Maddox’s Beta.” Everything suddenly clicked into place. “So…” I looked back toward Sharon. “These girls were placed inside the palace by Maddox.” “Looks that way,” Raiden agreed. I slowly nodded my head. That explained far more than spoiled attitudes and disrespect. They hadn’t simply wandered into the palace looking for an easy life. They’d been positioned here with a purpose. Unfortunately, after another twenty minutes of questioning, we weren’t getting anywhere. Sharon had completely fallen apart after learning Jordan was dead. Between sobs, screaming, and trying to yank herself free of the restraints, she wasn’t capable of answering a single useful question. Eventually, I floated her chair

  • The Reign Of The Last White Wolf   Just A Matter If Time

Ralph’s POV I rolled my eyes so hard they nearly hurt. Sentimental idiots. Hidden in the narrow gap between two storage buildings, I watched them from the shadows as they wandered through the blast site like mourners at a funeral. Warriors moved carefully across the torn ground, collecting every piece of debris they could find. Others carried empty crates and heavy tarps while Boomer barked quiet instructions, his usual arrogance nowhere to be found. The entire compound had turned into one giant pity party. Honestly… It was pathetic. Jordan had died because he was careless enough to let someone stand close to his workbench. That wasn’t my problem. It certainly wasn’t something worth standing around crying over. Maddox, though… Now he was another story. I spotted him in the distance walking away from the wreckage with his shoulders slumped, disappearing toward the lake without saying another word. Yeah… He’s going to need time. He’s going to grieve. He’s going to question himsel

  • The Reign Of The Last White Wolf   I’ll Get You

Maddox’s POV The instant Warren’s mindlink hit, I shot to my feet so fast my chair crashed backward into the wall. “Boomer!” I barked his name even though he was sitting directly across from my desk. He looked up immediately. “Tell me you’ve heard from Jordan since that explosion.” For a long second, he simply stared at me. Then he slowly shook his head. My stomach dropped. “Fuck.” I was already moving before the word finished leaving my mouth. I rounded the desk and headed straight for the office door. “What the hell is wrong?” Boomer asked as he hurried after me. Without slowing down, I told him exactly what Warren had reported. His expression changed instantly. “No way.” He shook his head. “Jordan wasn’t careless.” There wasn’t any hesitation in his voice. “He would’ve checked everything twice.” He kept talking, trying to make sense of it, but I barely heard another word. My thoughts narrowed until only one remained. Jordan’s alive. He has to be. Warren got it wrong. He saw s

  • The Reign Of The Last White Wolf   Take These Off

Raiden’s POV I wrapped my hand around the heavy steel handle and pulled the door open. Stepping to one side, I motioned toward the entrance with a slight bow. “After you, my queen.” A smile tugged at the corner of Traci’s mouth as she gave a small nod and walked into the room. Zayden and I followed a step behind, one on either side of her. She didn’t need either of us to protect her. We all knew that. This wasn’t about protection. It was about unity. Anyone watching understood exactly what we were saying without a single word being spoken. Touch one of us… You answered to all three. The cell was quiet except for the faint clink of chains shifting whenever one of the them moved. The lowly dimmed lights mounted along the walls cast a warm glow across the room, though they did little to make the place feel welcoming. My attention settled on the three women. Almost immediately, I wrinkled my nose. The smell hit me like a punch to the gut. One of them had apparently been far more fri

  • The Reign Of The Last White Wolf   More The Better

Traci’s POV I still couldn’t believe that bitch actually did it. She knew exactly who I was. She looked me straight in the eyes, recognized me as her queen, and still decided throwing a pot of hot stew at me was somehow a good idea. “She’s insane,” Aurora huffed. I sighed out a long breath. “She really is.” Aurora sounded far too pleased with herself. “I vote we float her a hundred feet into the air and leave her there.” A laugh escaped me. “You can’t solve every problem by dangling people.” “Why not?” She sounded genuinely disappointed. “It seems very effective.” The image alone lightened my mood enough to keep me from dwelling on what had happened. Raiden, Zayden, and I made our way through the palace toward the dungeon. I wasn’t wasting any time. The longer those three sat alone, the more opportunity they had to come up with matching stories. I wanted answers while everything was still fresh. The guards straightened the moment they saw us approaching and immediately stepp

  • The Reign Of The Last White Wolf   Let Us Go!

Zayden’s POV Raiden and I made our way back toward our office after leaving the training gym. As much as either of us would’ve preferred staying there, reality had a nasty habit of reminding kings that paperwork never completed itself. The attack during the tournament had left us behind on nearly everything, and every day seemed to bring another stack of reports waiting to be signed. I settled into my chair while Raiden claimed his own beside me. Neither of us said much. Folders opened. Pages turned. Pens scratched across paper. Every few minutes I’d glance at another report, only to realize I hadn’t absorbed a single word. My thoughts wandered somewhere else entirely. Traci. I smiled without meaning to. No matter how many reports I opened, my mind drifted back to the gym. She’d walked in there without the slightest intention of showing off. She simply watched, corrected mistakes, demonstrated techniques, and somehow managed to make every warrior in the room feel like they mattere
