Chapter 2 - Kill your cat? Or be eaten?

'Am I really… going to die?' Tristan thought while his sight is going darker and darker.

"That's a lot of blood on thee,"

'That voice is familiar,' Tristan thought while trying to open his heavy eyes, 'that's the unknown voice back in that fascinating dimension.'

His eyes widened the moment he felt all the pain in his body. "AAAARRRGGHHHH!!!" The dimension was filled with Tristan's scream.

Further, his eyes were closed, and hardly clenching his teeth while continuously screaming, "AAAAAAAHHHHHH….!!!" *Panting* His body was all wet because of his sweat, tears started overflowing on his face because of the pain, his right temple, right cheek, right arm, right waist were all covered in blood, and his left arm was hugging his right arm while lying on the ground.

"AAAARRRGHHHHHH!!!" When he attempts to open his eyes after every scream, his vision is still blurry. Also, everything was spinning for him, and his eyes were rolling up into his head.

"Umm… want my help?" The mysterious voice asked.

However, Tristan can't answer the question because he's suffering from pain. And also, he is in the spotless dimension again.

"I guess, I'll take that as your answer. 'Silence means yes' anyway, even though you filled this dimension with your screams." The unknown voice stated.

In just a blink of an eye, all the pain was gone. Therefore, Tristan's heavy breath is running slow but his eyes remained close.

When Tristan finally recovered, he looked at the sky since he still hadn't met behind that unknown voice. "Thank you..." He thanked him while breathing calmly.

"No problem, Tristan. By the way, I am Zenobios, the god of luck. I didn't have the opportunity to introduce myself back then because you carelessly touched one of the gemstones. So I conclude that you're a reckless person." Zenobios spoke.

"Pardon," Tristan replied while turning his body on the mysterious ground of water. His calm eyes got widened again, and subsequently stunned.

"What the?!" He yelled with his eyebrows joined together and wrinkled nose. He immediately taps his face and body a few times using both hands.

"What happened to me??!!" He screamed.

Zenobios sighs. "This is what you get from not listening." He murmurs.

Tristan's head is about to explode. But the only thing he could do was to glare at the holographic image deadly.

"Deal," Tristan stated.

"So instead of choosing between 'kill your cat or be eaten?' let's change it into 'kill your cat? to save your grandpa or be eaten?"

Tristan's teeth are clenching with his both fist for having a hard time.

"Remember, Tan, that you should master your emotions and you'll be unstoppable, especially in the most dangerous situation you'll ever be in." His grandpa smiled.

"Sure thing, grandpa!"

Tristan took a deep breath while closing his eyes. Therefore, his clenching fists started to lower their grip, and his facial expression is starting to lower its muscle tensions.

Flashback…

"Oh!" His grandpa's body turns towards him and looks at his yellow eyes.

"Your eyes are like the sun, burning with passion despite being pressured. Also, before I go, when you feel like you become weak, just go back to the basics, and be with nature." He added.

"Or become nature," Tristan added.

They both smiled, and after that, his grandpa started to leave.

The moment Tristan loosen all his body tension, he opened his eyes and says, "I choose," with a burning passion in his eyes that was hot as the sun.

Meanwhile,

The man with the dark cloak was running his breath. Moreover, his right arm is holding the huge sword that has the same height as him, covered with blood.

"Yosh," He said.

He went to Tristan as soon as possible. And surprisingly, his eyes widened when he arrived. Therefore, he hides behind the tall trees.

Tristan opens his eyes but his yellow eyes turned into white. Also, all his injuries were already healed, thanks to Zenobios.

"All of you," Tristan's voice changed, it became someone else's voice, that's why his voice got reverb. Further, He sits in an Indian style and faced his right palm towards the creatures with a blank expression, "Kneel to me." He ordered.

All of the creatures kneeled in front of him.

"I commanded that all of you should protect this boy whose named Zaykee. You shall help him, protect him, and accompany him if you met him during his journey. I guarantee you that in the end, it is in your favor." He ordered.

As his eyes turned back into yellow, he finally turned back.

'I'm back,'

Flashback…

The moment Tristan lost all the tension in his body, he opened his eyes and says, "I choose," with a burning passion in his eyes, that was hot as the sun.

"to keep my white cat and save my grandpa." He added.

"Hahaha." Zenobios laughed. "You're the same as him," he added.

"Him?"

"Nothing, nothing, you'll meet him soon, anyway."

"Till we meet again, Zaykee," Zenobios said goodbye to Tristan.

'I see, my new name is Zaykee.' Tristan thought.

The man with a black cloak slowly went towards Zaykee. However, Zaykee's eyes widened because the creatures ignored him and turned themselves unto the approaching anonymous man.

'That cloak is familiar,' Zaykee thought.

All the creatures were about to take a step forward towards the man.

"Stop!" Zaykee shouted while reaching out his right palm towards the man. Surprisingly, all the creatures followed him, which made his jaw drop.

'What's happening all of a sudden?!' His eyebrows joined together.

"You're finally here, Zaykee," The man stated as soon as he reached Zaykee.

'The hell?! How do they know my name?!' Zaykee thought.

The man looks at Zaykee's yellow eyes.

"You can call me X. Moreover, I am expecting a lot from you. If you wish to master the alpha power, seek me." X spoke.

"Are you..." Zaykee hesitated to ask, "the mysterious--"

*Footsteps*

"X." Someone called while walking towards them. That's why all of them turn their body to that feminine voice.

'This...' X's eyes widened and gulped while feeling the heavy pressure.
