Mag-log inHector's POV
According to Erick, Maliyla fled from the Blood Rose pack when her father lost his Beta title to Nick. Stating that Maliyla's father had gone crazy and attacked her. Considering my position and Maliyla now being my mate, both of her parents would be dead if they touched her, and she would never have felt the need to run from home. After hearing Erick's bullshit explanation, my blood boiled, and I could feel my heart pounding with anger. Not only had he lied about Maliyla's reasons for leaving, but Erick's true colors were now exposed, and I vowed to protect Maliyla and make sure he paid for his deceit. Meanwhile, Jasper was ready to unleash his wrath on Erick just for showing up today, and after what he revealed, Erick sealed his fate with the devil himself.
"She seemed to be in trouble, and I searched for her without any luck until you answered her phone," Erick explained.
Maliyla's POVI had a great time hanging out with Katia. Other than the pregnancy symptoms, it felt like it did when I would go shopping with Gisselle. It was bittersweet as I knew she would have loved it here at Crystal Blood Pack. As part of our visit to the mall, Katia and I visited every store, including some that were unavailable in Egypt. We went on a frenzied shopping spree together. Clothing and shoes were plenty in our shopping cart. As a result, I bought clothes that were more suited to those that a Luna would wear, while still keeping my personal style in mind. Having finished shopping, Katia insisted we go to the Mystical SPA in the mall for a spa treatment."Katia, I'm not sure if we should do this. It's expensive, and Hector might not like me spending all his money," I told her hesitantly as our bill quickly mounted."I know he won't mind. Besides, I'll tell him it's a b
Hector's POVWhen I heard Maliyla's words, I realized how broken she was, struggling with all those insecurities, but her ability to endure and fight made her more beautiful. It was, however, her brokenness that drew me to her. Daunte described her as a fighter, and I knew she would be an excellent Luna and mother. She brought up the topic of having children, which I had been thinking about for some time now. To me, it was vital that Maliyla did not feel obligated to follow the traditional beliefs of any pack. My goal was to make her comfortable and allow things to unfold at their own pace.Since we had security matters to take care of regarding the silver nitrate bullets found in Adams' possession, Daunte stayed through the end of the week. Our task had become daunting due to the thousands of hours of footage we had to review. There were also other things that needed our attention. As Katia was pregnant, I kne
Maliyla's POVI felt something different when I woke up that morning in Hector's arms. After turning to look at him, I smiled when I noticed he was still sleeping. As always, he appeared devilishly handsome and at ease. Tears welled up in my eyes as I turned away from him, his arms still around me. His arms tightened around me as I closed my eyes and breathed deeply."Well, I'd say good morning, but you're crying in my arms," Hector said, tightening his embrace."My tears are not caused by sadness; they are caused by joy," I replied, pausing to add, "For the first time, it feels as if a weight has been lifted off my shoulders; I feel free.""Is that what makes you cry?" Hector asked as he leaned closer to me.As I cupped his face in my hand, I smiled. I'm crying because I've been so stupid and have been for a long time.
Maliyla's POVThe thought of finding out what had happened out on the field made me nervous. All of it was still fresh in my mind, yet I had no idea how it manifested itself. I remember feeling scared and worried and suddenly needing to protect those around me. My entire world seemed to disappear when I saw Jonathan fall; everything around me stopped, and Katia ran up to him, increasing my concern for her and everyone else."OK," Evangeline said, pulling me from my thoughts."Hathor's background and how she came to be are already known to us. It may surprise you to learn that she is capable of projecting a force field, which she typically uses to protect herself. For Katia, her wolf can project the same force field, blinding those around her, but she can also project flames to protect her if needed." She paused as she walked to the bookshelf and retrieved the book she showed us in Egy
Maliyla's POVThe words my father spoke left me frozen. After all this time, he was audacious to tell me that they were my parents. My initial reaction to my father's words demanding respect after all this time was a mix of anger and disbelief. How could he expect me to suddenly view him as a parent when he had been absent for so long? It felt like a slap in the face, and I struggled to find the words to respond. I couldn't get his words out of my head. A powerful urge to scream swept through my mind. There was a part of me that wanted to cry and a part of me that wanted to hit something."You will still respect us regardless of what happened," my dad said. The words he uttered made me laugh, "Respect?" I responded, "You don't get respect from me, not now nor ever.""After all I did for you, how dare you speak to me that way?" My father growled.
Maliyla's POVAs soon as I found out my parents were coming to Crystal Blood, I was all kinds of fucked up. It had been months since I had seen or heard from them. I was torn between the longing for a reunion and the fear of facing the painful memories and unresolved issues that my parents represented. The thought of seeing them again stirred up a mix of excitement, anxiety, and apprehension, leaving me in a state of emotional turmoil."Maliyla," Hathor's voice echoed in my head."Perfect timing," I said, stepping into the shower and letting the hot water run over my aching body. I was physically and emotionally exhausted after spending so long in wolf form, fighting and throwing all of my power into it. Even though Hathor took all the hits, my body still hurt from them."You seem lonely and like you need someone to talk to," Hathor responded.
