Athena held her breath, her eyes locked with his. She knew this moment held the potential to change everything, to solidify the bond they had forged amidst the chaos. Her heart pounded in her chest, each beat echoing the intensity of the moment.

"I've carried this within me for so long, but I can't hold it back any longer," Ardolf continued, his voice filled with a raw honesty. "Athena, you've been my rock, my guiding light. Your unwavering strength, your compassion – they've anchored me in the storm. I... I love you and…." Ardolf was then cut short by Athena as she made a slight movement backwards from Ardolf.

Athena's breath caught in her throat, her eyes shimmering with unshed tears. The words she had longed to hear, the emotions she had harbored, spilled over within her, overwhelming her senses. She reached up, her hand covering Ardolf's, their warmth merging.
