Arielle’s POV:

As I left Richard’s study I had half the mind to slam his door out of pettiness. My mature side won over and I didn’t, which doesn’t make me feel any better. I trace my steps out of the house.

I put all my nervousness aside and tried to apologize t him. Somehow my apology turned into full on rambling which made me embarrassed. And then he kept staring at me and I could not find it in me to look away... I was so affected by his stare, that I final. When he finally spoke up, I felt my spirits rise, ecstatic for him to accept.

But then the jerk rejected it before proceeding to corner me and interrupting me to make his points. And after all that, he then proceeded to dismiss me without a second thought.

I recalled his smug face as he dismissed me

“Well then, what are you waiting for?”

Even as I stepped out of the building and breathed in the fresh air, I was still angry.

I thought we could have put the past behind us. To leave all the bad impressions aside and start anew.

Yea there are a lot of grammar and mistakes in this book. I don’t know why they don’t do a proper edit before they put this on here.
