Eight

"Oh, just for one simple reason. I hate twins," Damien's words resonated in her head.

She was also a twin.

Everything was becoming worse by the seconds, if she told Damien she was the evil twin he was going to hate her. He would probably send her out of this place.

Aria felt her heartbeat increase as she walked toward her room.

Why would he hate twins? She asked herself before she got to the door of the room.

She unlocked it silently and stepped in.

Aria was placed in the most comfortable room in the house. The room was neatly decorated, and the walls had designs that were painted by hand.

The moon illuminated the room, and the lights were switched off but she could still see the paintings that were hung on the wall. One of them happened to be a painting of the moon goddess as imagined.

Aria moved to the bed and climbed on top. She stared up at the moon before she heaved a sigh.

Her entire body basically was not at peace.

She just discovered something disturbing, her supposed mate hated twins.

How was she going to live with the guilt that he hated twins and she happened to be a twin, not any twin, The evil twin?

Aria pulled her legs underneath her face as she rested.

Why was the moon goddess doing this to her? Was this meant to be her fate?

She neatly packed her hair in a ponytail removing all the hair that fell on her face. Then she remembered Camile had borrowed some of her nightwear.

She stood up from the bed, went over to the wardrobe, and grabbed a two-pair set. A chiffon shirt and trousers.

The outfit was a little baggy on her because Camile was chubby than her.

Aria moved back to her bed and laid down this time.

She needed some rest, thinking about all this was not going to give her any answers. She turned and laid on her back staring up at the ceiling, the plain white roof reminded her so much of her room, her former room.

She turned to the side, refusing to look up because of the memory it brought. Would they miss her back home? Or Would they completely forget about her existence? Anyways it's not like she really cared, they had always wanted to get rid of her.

What if Damien found out about her real identity? Would he also hate her like her family?

The thoughts she pushed away came swimming back to her head and this time it was more active then she felt her stomach rumble.

She had to go find Camile. She was the only person that could answer her questions. Aria abruptly stood up and decided to search for Camile.

The first place she went to was Damien's room. Camile was always with Damien, she had to be there. Aria placed a light knock on the door and Damien gave a go-ahead.

Aria opened the door and entered.

"Oh, Aria it's you," He said, not glancing at her. He could sense her presence in the room.

Aria stared at his bare back and she felt blood rush to her cheeks. She had never seen a man without his shirt ever in her life.

"Erm, I was just looking for Camile," She said.

Damien turned around and stared at her face.

Aria stared at his broad chest, she eyed him from his neck to his toe. There was no difference between the models from the magazines and him right now. There was a possibility that the moon goddess dedicated her time to create him. Making him the perfect wolf. There was no fault in him at all.

But there was something else that caught her attention, the tattoo of a crescent moon on the right side of his neck.

"Nice tattoo," She managed to breathe out.

"This? I got this when I last visited the city," He said as he ran his fingers on it.

"Can I have a close look?" She asked as she approached him already.

"Sure why not?" He said.

Aria moved closer to him and examined the tattoo on his neck. They were drawn to perfection.

"This person must be a professional," Aria said as she continued to touch the tattoo.

"I had to go to the best artist in town," He said.

Aria looked up at him with her hands still on his neck.

"Aria.." He called as he stared down at her beautiful face.

Aria felt her heart skip a beat and she could feel the warmness of his body.

The redness on her face had increased, and she felt his huge arms pull her closer to him. His arms lingered around her tiny waist and she could feel his rock-hard abs on her stomach. She wanted to pull away, but it was just addictive. Those Amber eyes were warm enough to light up her life forever.

"Hey, Damien," Camile barged in without knocking.

Aria broke away from the intense stare and turned to Camile.

"Oh my God! I'm so sorry for interrupting you guys I'll leave now I'm sorry," Camile apologized already about to turn away.

"No no it's fine, I was actually searching for you," Aria said.

~~

"Do you have anything to say? Inside you said you were looking for me, how can I be of your help?" Camile asked as they got outside the room.

Aria's face was still hot but the redness on her cheeks had reduced.

"Why does Damien hate twins so much?" Aria asked.

Camile stopped in her tracks and stared at her.

"I mean if you don't want to tell me it's fine," Aria said.

"No it's fine I'll tell you, at least you need to Know," Camile insisted.

"Okay, I'm listening," Aria informed.

"Our father was a twin, and he had an evil twin," Camile said as she placed her hands on her waist.

Aria felt her entire mouth go bitter as every syllable left Camile’s lips.

This could not be happening!
