He was close to the village but we were faster with the help of Orion. Their horses couldn't be compared to the force that drove us.

Soon, Lucas was far behind me and we were very close to the clan.

“Lock the gate! Lock the gate!” I screamed as we passed through the wide open gate with no struggles.

“Lock the gate immediately. Do not waste time.” She ordered the gatekeepers.”Make sure the warriors are ready.” Diane shouted at no one in particular.

Tensions were rising as everyone ran helter-skelter.

“I'll hide the women and children.” Laura said and ran off to do that.

“I'll assemble the warriors and let them know what to do.” Thorne ran off too and I was left with Diane.

“You need to be careful, stay with the warriors. Remember that you're his target, if he gets you then he gets us all.” Disne told me and I nodded fully understanding my assignment which was never to be caught.
