ALEJANDRO’S PENTHOUSE — LEO’S BEDROOM — MORNINGMorning sunlight poured through the curtains, filling Leo’s bedroom with a warm golden glow.Eight-year-old Leo sat on his bed with his arms crossed tightly over his chest. His face was red from crying, and he refused to look at the door.Alejandro stood outside for a moment, taking a deep breath. This was the conversation he had been avoiding for days. Finally, he knocked softly. “Leo,” he said quietly. “Can I come in? We need to talk.”“No!”Leo’s answer came instantly.Alejandro let out a sigh and slowly walked into the room anyway. He sat on the edge of the bed, leaving a little space between them.“I know you’re upset,” he said gently. “But you need to hear me out.”“I don’t want to hear anything.”Alejandro reached over and tried to rest a hand on his son’s shoulder.Leo quickly pulled away. “Don’t touch me.”Alejandro’s heart tightened. “Leo… please. Just listen to me.”Leo finally turned to face him. Tears filled his eyes, but th

Valerie shook her head firmly. "I'm not manipulating you. I'm telling you the truth. The hard truth. You need a lawyer who will fight for you. And I'm the best one you're going to get."Amelia was silent for a long moment, her eyes searching Valerie's face. Then she spoke, her voice cold and controlled."Who sent you? Tell me that, and I might consider letting you represent me."Valerie shook her head. "I can't. Not yet."Amelia stood up abruptly. "Then we're done here."She started to walk away, but Valerie called after her."Amelia, wait! Please! Just give me a chance!"Amelia stopped and turned back, her eyes burning with anger. "You want a chance? Then earn it. Prove to me that you're not just another puppet sent by Gabriella to destroy me. Prove to me that you actually care about getting me out of here."Valerie's voice was desperate. "I do care! I've spent weeks working on your case. I've spent sleepless nights going through every piece of evidence. I've put my career on the l

NYPD HEADQUARTERS — INTERROGATION ROOM — NIGHTSophia sat in the cold interrogation room, her hands cuffed to the metal table. Her expensive designer clothes were wrinkled and stained. Her makeup was completely ruined, mascara running down her cheeks in black streaks. She looked nothing like the polished socialite who had once hosted glamorous parties and live streams.Detective Miller sat across from her, his face grim. Detective Reyes stood by the door, her arms crossed.Through the two-way mirror, Damien Blackwood and Sophia's father, Mr Langston , watched in stunned silence.Damien's face was pale, his jaw tight. He had rushed to the station the moment he heard about Sophia's arrest, but seeing her like this broken, sobbing, handcuffed was something he hadn't been prepared for.Mr Langston stood beside him, his hands shaking. He was an older man, distinguished and wealthy, but right now he looked shattered. His only daughter was being charged with murder."This can't be happe

Amelia shook her head with a cold smile, unable to believe what she was hearing."That's interesting," she said, her fingers tightening around the phone. "Because I've heard those exact words before." Her eyes narrowed as she stared at Valerie through the glass. "I already had a lawyer. Her name was Rebecca Stein."Valerie's expression changed slightly at the mention of the name, her confidence fading into something more guarded. "I know who Rebecca Stein was," she said quietly.Amelia's lips curled into a bitter smile. "Then you should know she wasn't just my lawyer. She was someone I trusted." She looked away, remembering the betrayal. "She promised she would help me, that she would fight for me and prove the truth." Her grip tightened around the phone. "But while I was sitting in that cell believing she was on my side, she was working against me. Rebecca gave my enemies information and helped them build the case against me."Her eyes hardened. "So when you suddenly appear out o

WENT-WORTH CORRECTIONAL CENTER — AMELIA’S CELL — MORNINGAmelia sat on the edge of her narrow bunk, staring at the cold floor beneath her feet. One hand rested protectively over her growing belly while the other gripped the worn blanket beside her.The sound of heavy footsteps approaching made her look up.A moment later, the sharp sound of keys rattling against metal bars filled the small cell.A guard appeared at the doorway, his expression blank.“Amelia Stone,” he said. “You have a visitor.”Amelia didn’t even bother looking up. A bitter laugh escaped her lips as she slowly shook her head.“If it’s that lying, useless ex-husband of mine, tell him to leave.”Her voice was filled with anger and pain. “I don’t want to see him. I don’t want to hear another excuse from him. And I definitely don’t want anything to do with him anymore.”The guard watched her for a moment. “It’s not your ex-husband.”Amelia finally lifted her head. Her eyes narrowed suspiciously. “It’s not?”The guard sh

FAVINO PENTHOUSE ~ NEW YORK CITY Gabriella’s face twisted with rage. “You can’t just barge in here. This is a private party. Leave now, or I’m calling security.”Valerie laughed in a cold, sharp sound. “Security? Please. Do you have any idea how long I’ve waited for this moment? Years, Gabriella. Ever since you destroyed that case I was building. Ever since you trashed my name. I’ve been planning this down to the last second.”Alejandro stepped forward, jaw tight. “Who is this woman? What is she even talking about?”Gabriella’s voice wavered, but she forced it steady. “She’s no one. Just some bitter lawyer who couldn’t beat me in court. She’s been obsessed with revenge for ages.”Valerie’s eyes turned to slits. “I couldn’t win because you paid off the judge. You scared my witnesses into silence. You played filthy, Gabriella. And now? Now you’re going to pay for every single thing.”Alejandro’s face went hard. “Explain. Now.”Valerie turned to him, her voice in a harsh tone. “I’l
