At The Complex's Lobby

Laura and her angry lawyer had not rested because of the nonchalant attitude of the company over their petition. The lawyer thought that he should be celebrating as the daring Human Rights Activist to dip his hands into the eyes of the company while she imagined that she should have been richer.

Now, Barbara was disturbed with her frequent visits to the toilet each time her phone rang. She had done no work that morning apart from calling and receiving calls while Barbara did all the work.

“You may leave me with no choice but to report you to the authorities if you continue like this,” Barbara warned her when she returned from the toilet for the umpteenth time.

“What is my offense?” She feigned ignorance of her misconduct and asked.

“You will soon find out when the remaining fifty percent of your salary is withheld,” she informed her bluntly.

Laura panicked at the truth but could do nothing to defend herself. She just had to grin and bear it.

“I was only joking.

Instantly, he got an idea. He looked at the janitor and asked, “Will we prune the flowers in the evening? I would like to see my portion beforehand.” The janitor furrowed his forehead and answered, “The old man has hijacked the pruning of the flowers. Let's find out if he will do that today.” “Okay,” he said and followed him. Meanwhile, when Ella joined him with the flask, he was over the moon and did not hide it. “Wow!” He exclaimed. “Were you pulling my legs?” He asked her. She laughed softly and stated, “I wanted you to eat your fruits before this,” she explained. “That is smart of you. I will eat it after one hour. Right?” “I'm glad that you still remembered.” “Yes. I promise to obey your instructions if that will make me strong enough to do my work.” “I like that,” she said and watched him chew and swallow the last fruit. “Thank you for the fruits,” he appreciated her and rested his back on the chair. “You are welcome,” she said and sat up. “I will be on

“That is good to hear. I hope you had a good time?”“Yes. But I wish to contact her.”“It is all right. Have a lovely day?”“Okay. Bye.”After the call, he looked at the phone and mumbled, “Will they get cross with her for not giving me her contact?”He thought for a while and asked himself, “How do I explain to the General if he finds out that I don't have her contact?”After pondering for a while, he resolved, “I will call George back and request her number.”At The President's Office After the call with his father, George grinned a broad smile and dropped his phone. Instantly, it rang again and he frowned.“Who is that again?” He asked himself with displeasure.Nevertheless, he picked up his phone and looked at it.“He just left. Why is he calling?” He murmured and picked up the call.Meanwhile, Tim left the old man and walked to the parlor where Gerald and Samuel were waiting to receive him. They kept him busy with questions about his day and he almost forgot to call George as he

At Tim's House While the old man was busy racking his brain on how to demystify the story behind Ella's contact, Tim was busy updating the Head of State with the sales in the office.“Your boy has guts. Do you mean that he defiled the standing order of a Field Marshal and sold arms to his enemies,” the Head of State asked?“I was surprised to hear that as well. I was at the site with the miners when he concluded the deal.”“That is good to hear. If the Field Marshal is offended, he can come over,” he teased and Tim laughed aloud.“He will be glad to receive him as he received Gen. Hanklin,” Tim added. They discussed at length concerning the Canterbury Heroes Borough and were glad that things were moving in the expected direction. After their discussions, he called the Second in Command and updated him on the outcome of the day's work.“Wow! I'm glad to hear that he is willing to learn.”“Yes. Your Excellency. Just as we agreed, they will mine for us for the rest of their lives. Apart

“Good evening, Father,” George greeted him and the others looked up.“Good evening, Old Man,” they greeted him simultaneously.“Good evening to you all,” he said and faced George.“How was your day?” “My day was good. And yours?”“My day was good,” he answered and prayed that they should not ask him if he had contacted Ella.To his delight, they were engrossed with their movie and he joined them.“I hope you are prepared for the training tomorrow,” George looked away from the television and asked the two boys.“Yes, we are,” Gerald who could not wait for Saturday to come answered.“It is all right,” he said and focused on the television.Tim, who overheard them recalled that they had not fulfilled their wish to take the old to the Atlantic Ocean the previous week, looked up. His eyes met with his and he feared that he may ask him about Ella.“We may visit the Atlantic Ocean tomorrow if it is convenient,” Tim announced.Despite himself, he was happy.“That is good to hear. To avoid it coming back to him, he got into the car quickly and shut the door. Tim who was already behind the wheel turned on the ignition.“Are we set?” He asked and they chorused, “Yes.”He moved and Jerry drove behind him. The three in the back seat were happy with the outing and could not appreciate him enough.“Thank you for the outing, Brother-in-law,” Gerald appreciated him and the others borrowed a leaf from him. They appreciated Tim one after the other and he responded, “It is my pleasure.”He drove on in silence and not long, they slept off. George was lost in thought and asked, “Who knows how the witch is fairing?”Tim laughed and declared, “As far as I am concerned, she is as good as dead.”“You are right.”He got to the complex and parked at the first gate while Jerry drove to the main gate and got in. Collins got out of the car and headed to the Transport Department while he joined Tim at the gate and they returned home.At Tim's HouseThe sleepers were not aware that th

“Sure. You can always tell me how you feel,” she declared.“That is good to hear. What about you? Will you always call to check on me?”She looked up and saw a strange look on his face. She lowered her gaze and answered, “I will.”“I like that. You can take my number,” he said and called out his number. She punched it into her phone, dialed it, and waited for it to ring.“That is me calling you,” she informed him and he smiled.“Thank you for this.”“It is my pleasure,” she said and covered the empty plate.“Do you wish to leave so early? I thought you were off work?”“Yes. I have to release the driver.”“I see. Will you be here tomorrow?”“Yes. I have a reward for you for washing the flask.”The old man who had washed clothes and cooked food for Cecelia and she did not appreciate it was surprised that a little gesture could appeal to a woman.“Reward for me? I can't wait to have it,” he declared enthusiastically.“I will be back,” she said and got up.“OK,” he said and watched her as

“Sgt. Young is here,” one of them shouted and they tried to rush at him.“What?” George shouted and Jerry blocked them. “Submit your phones to the Corporal if you wish to serve here,” George shouted. Now, the two managers were out of the elevator and could not understand what happened. The Corporal who had cautioned them severally stepped forward. They willingly began to hand over their phones to him. The security team members helped too.“Ensure that they submit their phones every morning as soon as they arrive,” he instructed the Corporal and moved.“I got it, General.”He saw the befuddled managers standing. All the same, he saluted them and they returned the salute. He left them and walked to the elevator.“What happened?” Capt. Bolton asked the Corporal.“They were making noise and taking selfies when he walked in,” he explained.“And they tried to rush at him,” Barbara added. At that point, the General Manager was furious. Now, the Cadets had completed their punishment and were kneeling in the vestibule. The General Manager and Capt. Jaja addressed them. The orientation spelled out all the dos and don'ts that they must adhere to for the period of their stay.“Do you have any questions?” He asked afterward and they were too scared to speak. He expected nothing less than that. Likewise, he stepped backward and looked at the Personnel Manager. Likewise, he stepped forward, looked at his secretary who had joined them and she walked up to him. They called out their names and handed their engagement letters to them.Afterward, Capt. Jaja said, “Do not hesitate to ask questions if you encounter any issues.”“We got it, Captain,” they responded simultaneously. At Tim's HouseElla was stable with her job as a dietician to an old gardener and it was not tasking. Nevertheless, Collins had brought the arms to the complex and was free to take her to attend to the old man.“Thank you, Ella, for your concern. I truly

That was what brought the fight.""She must be served. I need her response before the meeting," George stated."Consider it done."Without delay, he contacted the Corporal through the intercom and he picked up the call at once."Good morning, General," he greeted him at once."It is the General Manager, Corporal. Pick the front desk officer from the lobby and take her to the gate. She should serve Miss Dickson the query.""Consider it done, Boss," he said and looked at Laura."I need her reply immediately.""I got it, Boss." The driver wondered what was happening and was troubled as well. He honked at the gate man but he did not lift the bar for him. Rather, he walked to the bus and opened the door.He greeted them and informed Laura, "Miss Dickson, your attention is needed at the security office."Everyone, including the driver, turned and focused on her. She was disturbed and inquired at once, "What for?""Obey before complaining," some loud-mouthed passengers said and angered her.Despite her beautiful dress, urge to get George, and all that she was going through, she looked at one of the speakers angrily. She was about to hit one of them when the gateman shouted at her, "Hurry up and don't keep others waiting."She simply glared at the person and got out of the bus. The gateman shut the door and walked back to the bar while Laura walked into the office. He lifted the bar, and the bus driver drove in, followed by the other buses which queued behind.Nevertheless, George's team members were in the queue

At The Table Tennis CourtGeorge was full of joy and all over Tim like an over-pampered baby. Tim could feel it when they were having their lunch. At 4:40 PM, they left for the table tennis court. They saw the attendants arranging the place. Tim parked and called Kay."We are around, Your Excellency," he informed him after he picked up the call."It's all right. I am waiting for His Excellency," he responded, and his eyes widened in astonishment."It's okay," he said and ended the call.He looked at George and saw his shock."Are you scared?" He asked him."Ha! I thought we were playing with only the Second in Command.""I thought so as well. I never knew he informed the Head of State. Just be yourself. Okay?" He breathed freely and answered, "I will."Shortly after, the team arrived and parked accordingly. Tim and George got out of their vehicle and walked to them. George saluted them accordingly and they returned the salute while Tim looked on.'This is not what I planned,' he said

"I can hold it for you, Boss," Nathaniel volunteered to hold the gift he bought for George."Never mind," he said and got out of the car.He walked back to the foyer with great expectations. To his chagrin, he was not there. He swallowed hard and walked into the parlor.'He is still angry with me,' he said when he did not see him in the parlor."Take this to George," he ordered Nathaniel who was waiting for him to dismiss him."Okay, Boss," he said and collected the stuff. He walked to George's room while Tim headed to the kitchen. Sheldon, who was washing the dishes, paused and welcomed him."Has George eaten?" He asked him afterward. No, Boss.""Why?""He said he will let me know when he will eat," he explained."I see," he said and walked out.Nathaniel should have been out of George's room so that he could ask him questions about him. "I'm visiting the graveyard, Nathaniel," Tim informed the officer."I got it, Boss," he answered him."What kind of handgun do you have?""The hand cannon, Boss," he faced him and answered."It's okay, Boss," he said."Are you with the cleaning materials?" He asked him."We will hire from the workers," he answered him and drove on.Shortly after, he was at the gate of the cemetery. Meanwhile, Sheldon was confused about what to do about the breakfast. They had hardly eaten their food last night before the arguments that made them abandon it. He felt bad while trashing the food."Don't they like it?" He asked himself. After mulling over the incident, he shrugged and said, "I will prepare the breakfast all the same."Not quite long, George and his team members returned. The training gave him some relief but when he did not see Tim at the foyer, he felt bad. His feelings grew from bad to worse when he did not see his car."This is serious. So, he has gone to see her?" At Tim's House After he rebuffed George and covered his duvet over his head, he felt good. He expected that he would knock on the door again but he did not. After waiting for a while, he perceived that he had returned to his room and was disappointed."I have angered him," he said and got up.He was disturbed and asked himself, "What do I do?" He picked up his phone to call him but changed his mind."He won't pick up the call. There is no need," he said to himself and dropped the idea.He turned on the television, just to keep him busy. The war film reminded him of Brig. Witherspoon and the threat from the South Coast. He pouted and picked up Gen. Hanklin's phone."Stupid country. They will learn their lesson the hard way," he said and swiped the phone. He saw a few new messages and tapped the older ones. He smiled when he saw Ambrose's suicide note to him. He was pleased to know that he had not spoken with him after he recovered."He has truly repented and loyal to Canterbury," he

She screamed. At that point, Pa Dickson was favored. He got up quickly and descended on his wife. He punched her face several times while she kept shouting. Laura, who was under her, was in pain and shouting as well. "Get up from me, Mom," she shouted but her mother could not.Rather, her husband kept punching her face. When he was satisfied, he let go of her and cursed, "Stupid woman. I will teach a lesson that you will never forget."Laura pushed her mother aside and got up angrily."So, this is your plan? The two of you wished to kill me," she said, walked back to her room, and locked the door.Although Madeline was weak, she would not let her husband off the hook. At The Complex Laura got up and walked to the door like a bulldog. The Corporal and warden gave way for her or she would have pounced on them. With that, she increased her offenses, and Jerry cashed in and whipped her legs with the horsewhip."Repeat after me, Miss Dickson. Say I will not disturb the peace of the complex again," he requested while flogging her."I will never disturb .... Hey!" She stopped and shrieked in pain.Jerry continued to flog her, and she continued to cry and repeat after him."Run for your life before I kill you. Silly girl," he shouted at her and she obeyed. George was happy to see her running out of the cell like a little mouse frightened out of the Queen's chair. She continued running towards the reception when Jerry joined George in the car and he turned on his ignition."Good job, Sergeant," he said and drove off.Nevertheless, she got to the lobby, and the new security team was surprised to see her running like a thief."What! He would have called Cpl. Simpson, who was on night duty, to release her, but it would not give him the satisfaction he wanted. Shortly after, he stormed out of his room, got the car keys from the hangar, and walked to the garage. His car alerted Collins and Jerry the moment he turned on his ignition. They walked out of the boys quarters and focused on him."We are going to the complex. Hop in if you are ready," he informed them. They were troubled and did not want to keep him longer than necessary. Jerry was on his khaki pants and camouflage shirt. Collins was putting on the same shirts upon knickers and was not comfortable with it."I will change to trousers," he said and walked away.Jerry got into the front seat, looked at George's sad face, and inquired, "I hope there's no problem?""The boss said we should release that wrench in the guard room.""Ha!
