SERAPHINA

~<>~

The last thing I remember was the suffocating weight of the strong aura and the darkness pulling me under.

But when my eyes fluttered open, the world was moving fast, yet steadily.

I was lying on my back. On a plush leather seat, inside a spacious luxury car. The engine hummed silently, and the air smelled of mountain pine and expensive scents, vastly different from what I was used to.

Then reality crashed into my soul like a furious wave.

“Celeste!” I gasped, bolting upright.

The movement sent pain through my bruised or perhaps broken ribs. I looked out the window, staring as the car zoomed down a paved mountain road. Gone was the dense forest around Crimson Moon Pack.

“Easy, Celeste,” a steady voice said.

I turned my head quickly.

And there was Kieran—the silver-eyed man who had carried me—sitting in the front passenger seat, watching me through the rearview mirror. His expression was calm, but his eyes were like lightning.

“No!” I shook my head, holding back a gr

SERAPHINA~~“There’s no way.”I couldn’t stop uttering those words under my breath. Not even when I sat at the long glass table to dine with the three people whose words and world have stunned me speechless. I stared at the lavish spread of food—delicacies I hadn’t seen all my life—but my stomach was in knots. Across from me sat Queen Serena and Kieran, while to my right sat the man who claimed to be my blood brother. The Lycan King.“It’s impossible.” Kia hummed with confusion. “I’m simply a wolf spirit, not a Lycan spirit.”Her statement forced words out of me. I muttered to no one in particular, “I’m an Orphan who was adopted by the Beta family of Crimson Moon Pack. How could I possibly have a family?” A family like this?Queen Serena leaned forward, her hair shimmering under the chandelier. “Nineteen years ago, the Kingdom was attacked by forces we hadn’t learned to control. We were all so young, but you were the youngest.”“Our parents were slaughtered during the attack, a

  • The Rise of a Forsaken Luna   8. A Lycan Royalty

ALPHA REXTON~~“Dammit!” I roared, hot fury blazing through my being like lava.Fuck, it burned. Not the whiskey I have been pouring down my throat for the last hour, but the memory of the embarrassment. “They are Lycans, Alpha…” Ethan’s voice still rang in my head even after thirty minutes. My Beta had looked at me with pity and terror as he delivered the report after my moment of shame, “We confirmed the scent markers and the one who c—challenged you… He has the command only a Lycan Royalty carries.”Lycans. Legend has it that they stay in the frozen Highlands, far from the borders of my pack. Yet they had walked into my pack, looked me in the eye, and humiliated me.My muscles still felt weak, but my pride was weaker. “You deserved it,” Kane, my wolf, snarled in the back of my mind. “You let them take our female. You let a stranger touch what belongs to us.”“She wanted to go!” I snapped out loud, pacing the room. “Did you see the way she looked at him? She didn't just run

SERAPHINA ~~ With every minute that ticked away, my sanity fractured. Every second alone in that room, not knowing what was happening to my daughter, was hotter than hell. My mind became a whirlwind of horrific images. Celeste cries. The needles are breaking her fragile skin. The dark Healer’s gnarly hands… “They are going to kill her, Kia,” I whispered into the hollow space in my mind, crumbling as all hopes of breaking the locks drowned. “They planned this. They definitely want more than her blood.” Kia snarled in response, her vibrating growl echoing through me. “We have to get to her before it’s too late.” Kia retorted, gearing me up even though we both knew there was no way out. My heart ached, struggling with that truth, “The door won’t budge.” Kia was silent for what seemed like an eternity before she gasped, my mind exploding with her idea, “Then we jump, Sera. The window is big enough. I will get us on the ground safely.” That was all I needed to hear to j

SERAPHINA~~“Running off into the woods to cause trouble? Childish, even for you." Rexton barked, but I remained silent, quietly walking past him to get Celeste back in my arms. And I did, finding peace as soon as her eyes burned into mine. But that peace was short-lived.Two days later, the mansion was thrown into chaos because Dahlia’s son, Arlo, was ill. I ignored the chaos until Rexton summoned me. I was forced to sit in the living room while a strange woman with a cloying, rotten aura examined the boy. Her clouded eyes were fixed on Arlo as she croaked, “The boy carries an omen of the next Alpha. But his spirit is fractured. To heal him, he requires a blessing from both Alpha and Luna.”Rexton turned to me, his eyes desperate but hard. "You will do this, Seraphina. For the sake of the pack."I had no choice. I followed them into the nursery, my heart heavy. Dahlia sat by the cradle, her face pale with grief. But as I leaned over to offer the ritual blessing, her hand sh

  • The Rise of a Forsaken Luna   5. Forbidden Zone

SERAPHINA~~My shaky feet carried me back to my bedroom. But my mind was blank.Cleared of every hope. Every expectation. But at the same time, my mind was loud, as these words echoed over and over with the finality of a slamming coffin lid, “I will arrange it…”I wished I could say my heart wasn’t aching, but that? That would be a lie. I entered what used to be my haven—the bedroom where I had created memories with Rexton—and for a minute, I forgot how to breathe.“Don’t feel, Sera,” Kia growled. ”If you have to feel, feel the need to survive and get us the hell out of here. Feel anger!”My wolf’s words silenced Rexton’s voice. I moved quickly, almost like a ghost, through the room, pulling a satchel bag from the back of the closet and packing only what was necessary, even though I didn’t know where I was going. “For a start,” Kia grumbled into my mind, “Far away from here.”Crimson Moon Pack was all I knew, and as I stared at the engagement ring Rexton had slipped on my finge
