Jennita’s pov

I shook my head, feeling my cheeks flush. Goodness, It felt like high school all over again when Helen would accuse me of having a crush on Antonio.

“No…” I hope she didn’t see past my firm voice and blank stare, right into the turbulent emotions swaying inside me, threatening me to break down in front of her. “You’re wrong. It’s nothing like that.”

For a brief moment, I almost thought I had seen a glint of disappointment flash in her eyes before it disappeared after some fleeting seconds, Almost like it had never appeared there in the first place.

“Well, if you don’t want to talk about it, I don’t intend to force you.
