Eccentricity

Unlike in Eine’s room, most of Foxley’s toys were for outdoor use. Right now, Wolfram was letting him test out a drone. However, they could only fly it around the Blue Moon Estate’s yard. The tall grid fences allowed Wolfram to see through the defenses, but they were still wired to a power grid. If the drone flew over, it would get zapped by the fences. Crashing it would also give the same effect.

Delta pursed her lips closed. She didn’t know this residence had electric fences. When she looked out earlier, the fences looked like gigantic chicken wire. It was good she found out before she tried to cut through it herself.

Eine played with her new toys in her room, while Foxley ran around to follow his drone. However, he played it strangely. He would try his best to perch it somewhere he could reach and retrieve it himself. He said, he was training to be a ninja—and Wolfram was the daimyo.

Too much TV, Wolfram thought.

“So… are you heading to work tomorrow?” Delta asked as she and Wolfram lagged behind the maids running to catch the ninja. She watched how the maids brought out a net to safely catch the little boy.

“Sadly.” Wolfram sighed. He suddenly remembered that he was as free as he was before. “Then Dad asked to see you and the twins on the weekend. You have three days to behave, so please do. What should I do to make you feel like you can stay with me without you resisting it?”

Delta chuckled. “I’m not resisting your care, Wolfram. Only your insistence. I have nothing worthy to boot, aside from giving birth to such beautiful twins. Even your captain looks at me like I’m merely lucky to even meet you in person.”

Wolfram glanced at her. “Well, for starters, you have powerful running legs and a hidden stun gun. You also have a retractable thick face and some delusional dancing on the side. Hm, I think it also makes you quite a choice… how you manage to keep a kind face, even if you’re a devil in disguise.”

“Seriously?” Delta hummed with a smile. “That sounds like I can invite a lot of trouble in your life, Wolfram. You should have thought about this thoroughly.”

“I wouldn’t have sent my Red Core Squad to fetch you if I hadn’t thought about it thoroughly.”

Wolfram turned to the woman. She was faintly bouncing on her spot, with her arms behind her. It was as if she was walking alongside the beach in her sundress. He could superimpose the picture, so he just looked away to regain his composure.

He continued, “People like me cannot like someone who isn’t like me. If I fetch a normal woman as a wife, she would ask me to work my ass off or spend all my money. Your eccentricity seems to be a good match with mine, so I figure it may work.”

“Eccentricity, huh…” Delta hummed, but she lowered her face. The only time she looked up was when Foxley climbed a tree and found one that overlooked Eine’s room in the house. She just murmured, “…and he didn’t want any of my crazy.”

The next three days were filled with stabilizing the company’s working efficiency in the new building. Colton Industries – Marcille Faction was under Wolfram, as opposed to the other factions that either belonged to his father or his two elder brothers. The companies linked to the offices in this faction were all taken care of by Wolfram now.

As for Delta, she was only keeping her children company for now. She was yet to receive any kind of hint about a company position. If she initiated it, she might tick off Wolfram about her plan. He might even persuade the kids to keep her home.

“Is it too tight, Madam?” The maid asked as she finished lacing the corset bodice of the dress Delta picked out to wear. Right now, they were doing a fitting to make sure Delta’s clothes would fit her perfectly. However, the maid didn’t realize Delta’s body was so soft and squishy.

“It doesn’t hurt me…” Delta was looking at her regained shape through a big full-length mirror. She had gained weight from eating a lot lately, but her fat hadn’t solidified just yet. When held back by a corset, she could still find her narrow waist and wide hips. She even blushed at how much the corset was staving off her silhouette.

Lena, the maid, nodded and asked Delta to walk around. After all, she needed to be comfortable around the highest master—David Colton. One mishap could end a marriage, and Lena didn’t want to see those two cuties leave in tears.

The other maids stood at the side. They were also shocked by the look. The skin of the madam was also smoothened by the beauty products she started using again. After seeing Delta’s strange glow-up, they felt like their homebody master Wolfram made the right choice.

“Oh, my. When was the last time?” Delta chuckled with a smile. She was getting dolled up again after three years of not even touching lipstick.

However, the picture started to haunt her the longer she noticed the same shades she used to wear. Her hair must be shorter now, but the lipstick was the same. The eyeshadow and the blush all contributed to the beautiful face she once wore.

She hated it.

“Lena, I’m not really feeling the colors on my face. They might be optimum, but… I don’t want to wear these shades. Can you do something about that?”

“Of course, Madam.” Lena was satisfied with her work, but something inside Delta pinged at the finished look. She had no choice but to restart the make-up session again.

Instead of going for a normal fierce look that all madams should go for, Lena chose to highlight a sweet look for their madam. After all, the full beauty of this woman did not depend on darker colors. The maid also did heatless curls to make the straight hair fit the look.

“If I appear in front of Eine, won’t she invite me to her tea party?” Delta was watching the process all along, but she was still surprised by the result. She even thought she was looking at a life-size doll. Now, she just had to wait for Eine to return from her bath.

“Don’t worry, Madam. We will make sure the hatter will not be displeased.” Lena responded in her flat tone, but she couldn’t hide the glint in her eyes. Wolfram did that a lot, either, so she got really used to it. Now that she was in charge of taking care of Delta and Eine, she had to find ways to entertain herself.

Knock, knock. Wolfram then spoke from outside, “I would like to speak with your madam. Are you done experimenting with her dresses?”

Delta and Lena looked at the door and then exchanged gazes. Even the other maids moved as if everyone had telepathy. When Lena opened the door, she gestured inside. “The madam said… I will talk to you if you find me.”

“Find her?” Wolfram looked around the toys in Eine’s room. “In here?”

Feet shuffled as someone ran up to the main lobby. There were giggles in her mouth as she ran around like a small child let loose in their new house. It was just that… it was not their new house. Delta just incredibly missed the majestic visage of the Blue Moon Estate.Instead of having the honeymoon right after the wedding, Delta asked to have it moved to another month—or even at the end of the year. After all, Wolfram was still undergoing physical therapy for his body. She also needed to catch up with work to snatch Zenon’s seat on the board.Nah, Trisha knew how to be kind even if she was like an old witch. Delta long forgot to zero in on Zenon’s seat. Yuri should just pick someone else’s.“Delta, aren’t you a little too giddy?” Wolfram laughed a little as he called out from the door. He was also caught perusing the door of his real house. Ever since they received that threat toward Eine and Foxley, they had relocated to the Willow House. It was nothing but a safe house prepared f

Even though the newlyweds escaped the church, Trisha was sure that they would return for the reception. She was making rounds to see the food served to the guests, but she only heard everyone discussing a few things about the wedding. They talked about the venue, the other guests, Delta’s angelic entrance… the children, the wedding vows, and the willful escape. Some matrons and maidens gossiped about the children a lot. It was evident in their vows that Delta’s little angels were not Wolfram’s children. However, the two kids would say ‘Daddy Wolfie’ every time.“Trisha, when are they returning?” Janelle stealthily went to her side and offered her a drink as an excuse. “We still have to tell Delta about the thing.”“Psh, do you think I’m not ready? Delta already knows about the plan.” Trisha huffed and still took the drink Janelle gave her. She sipped on it and waved her hand to make Janelle scarce. They shouldn’t be caught talking, or else people might get the wrong idea.Just as Jane

Chatters returned with squeals and cooing as the flower girls and the ringbearers came. Eine and Regina were like little fairies scattering the flower petals. Even if guests could not bring their children, the bride and groom’s family still had theirs. After all, these three had a role to play.Foxley walked next to Gulper, the dog carrying a pillow on its back. Gulper even had a suit that matched its owner’s clothes. The rings were on the pillow, encased in a glass box for people on the aisle to see. It was a pair of white rings with diamonds and gold linings. The music soon died down before the bridal theme started playing. However, instead of the normal song, what played was an old song only a few could recall. Wolfram figured it was that one song Delta liked listening to while she was waiting for Carolus to come home when they were still children.“Here she comes…” “Oh, my God… her gown is so gorgeous…”The people stood for the coming of the bride. When the doors opened again, the

The wares vendor hid behind her stand, but Delta still came to hand one to her. She didn’t do much for Delta’s mental well-being, but she was the first one who would lend Delta money when she needed to loan some to make ends meet.Delta still smiled at her, so the third vendor only chuckled nervously. “I’m really sorry. I just thought you grew so ungrateful and left without a word…”“A wedding? I guess you’re doing well. That’s good.” The man was eating the strawberries he bought while listening to them. He even offered some to Delta. “I’m also happy for you… even if you don’t know me at all.”“Don’t know? But I remember all my repeat customers. Thank you for buying a crate every time.” Delta also smiled at the man. However, she didn’t have any invitation for him. It was not like he expected one as well. She just indulged him by asking for one strawberry.…Days after…Delta kept on twirling in her room as she waited for the ceremony to start. She was already suited in her wedding gow

The solemn greeting of the maids echoed to the stairwell where Delta was. Instead of heading back to the home office, she changed direction and went to greet her husband. She descended the stairs and found him walking home after another day of physical therapy.Unlike what Delta thought, even his blades burned against his skin that time. Not only the obvious spot had third-degree burns. For Wolfram to regain his ambidexterity and attack speed, he needed to do a lot of physical therapy. Of course, it came with frustration and exhaustion.Wolfram walked with his eyes closed, so it was fairly easy for Delta to catch him with her own body. When he bumped into her, he only gasped softly and whined upon seeing the bright smile on her lips.“Delta, have you finished with the guest list?” Wolfram wrapped his arms around her shoulders as she did the same on his waist. “You also look mischievous. Are you doing something strange?”“No, nothing strange.” She giggled as she then moved to show him

The sound of papers shifting conquered the room as two men were looking through them. Some were letters of congratulations as if hoping they would be invited to the wedding. Yuri had devised this thing when he married Mariska. Only those who could give the nicest wedding gifts were allowed to come to his wedding. Since Zenon did the same, everyone assumed Wolfram would not break tradition.Delta was working on customizing the letters to respond to the rest, while Finlay and Gendry were on the soft carpet. The two were going through the offers; one was grading their realism, while the other was running checks on whoever sent them. Delta could ask Angeline to go through them, but she needed that secretary to handle more things required by the company. She then chuckled as she took a break from typing. Delta gazed at the two working hard on drawing out a list of candidates. The woman would have to run it through Colton Industries afterward. After all, she needed to see which were blackli
