With her little medical knowledge, Lyra didn't believe the doctors when they said the Chairman's condition was caused by stress.

It doesn't make sense to her that stress alone could cause such a serious condition. “Why would the doctors lie?” Lyra thought.

Trying to keep an open mind, she entered the Chairman's room with Harrison.

The Chairman was open-eyed, his eyes stared blankly into the distance as if he couldn't focus on the present moment. He sat up on the bed when he caught a glimpse of Harrison.

Lyra's brows creased. She expected a monitor, breathing tube, and other equipment that monitors the patient's well-being but these essential equipment were absent.

Lyra shifted her gaze to the Chairman, “How do you feel now, Chairman?”

“I don't understand,” the chairman grunted.

Harrison interrupted their conversation, “You're just stressed, Dad. The doctor said you need some rest.”
