CHAPTER SIXTY-FIVE

ISABELLA’S POV

I was dragged back to consciousness when cold water was dumped on me. It was dark and the only indication that it was bright outside was the ray of sunlight coming through the window.

I tried to convince myself I was having a bad dream. I closed my eyes and opened them again but I met the same fate. I was bound to the chair with ropes that were tighter than the last time. I knew better than to struggle to free myself.
