CHAPTER FIFTY FOUR

After our duty, Armah and I went home together to the house where our two partners were waiting. Armah had brought her Xenodermus mount, so we got home quickly. It was already getting dark, and we knew the two were already home because the lights were on. Armah took her pet to the stable while I went inside first. I was surprised when I heard a pop, and confetti fell on me, followed by the two of them shouting, “Welcome back!!!” I smiled and walked over to them. I hugged them both and even kissed them on the lips, which shocked them. Armah came in after and exchanged a manly hug with them.

“How have you guys been? It looks like the house is still in good shape,” I said to the two of them. They looked at each other and nodded.

“Shouldn’t we be the ones asking how you are? You guys have been gone for so long, traveling through space and visiting different planets. We barely even got to talk because you were in areas without signal, especially when you were on Planet Earth,” said Kidane

But here, it’s all land, and the sunlight is intense. But the atmosphere isn’t hot, nor is it cold—just right. I was even surprised that I could breathe here. I stepped away from my mates who tried to come closer to me. My wolf was growling at them, ready to protect me. I hugged my arms around my belly and couldn’t help but cry. Oh my God! I couldn’t believe they would try to kill the babies that are only beginning to form inside me.
