Walking into their room, I saw two of the most adorable pups ever, lying down in their cribs, sleeping peacefully, and not having a clue of what was going on around them.

I walked quietly towards them and saw that they weren’t only adorable, but they looked so much like her. Even though they were just given birth to, the similarities between them and their mother were so obvious.

My heart suddenly tightened in severe pain and went on my knees as I held my heart tightly.

This only indicated one thing, and that was my mate struggling for her life and slipping away.

I stood up to run towards the infirmary but came to a halt as my pups suddenly burst out crying at the same time, and I knew instantly they also felt what I felt just now.

I turned around and walked back towards them, ignoring the pain I was feeling. I can’t let them go through it.
