The days turned into weeks and then months. Gabe was always with her even after she stopped working at the high school and then changed her hours from the graveyard shift to the day shift so the two could have the nights to themselves. They had gone to two services in those first few weeks. They had also made a stand when people questioned the two of them being together.

“Larissa, I got some news today,” Gabe said as he walked into the house while she was cooking some noodles for their dinner.

“What is that?” she asked without turning around.

“Remember at dad’s service you asked me to leave this job, and I told you I would apply to the middle school a few towns over?” Gabe asked as he placed his things down on the table and then walked to in the back of her.

“Yeah, I remember that.” She said.
