Chapter Two_ Leukemia blood cancer!

Cara walk inside their room and met Sara sleeping.

"She is such a troublesome girl." She mumbled and shook her head. She covered her with the duvet and lay beside her.

She has been holding it for a long, she doesn't know when it finally will air out.

She has been suffering from leukemia blood cancer for months.

The cheap medicine she was using to suppress it was about to finish and she had no money to get a new one.

There was no money for her treatment.

"How am I going to tell mom that I'm sick and in need of help as soon as possible?" She questioned herself.

"No I can't, that will surely give mom a heart attack and I can't stand it." She mumbled and exhaled.

She cuddles Sara to herself,

" I just want to stay with you sis, I don't want anything to happen to me." She whispered.

She put out the lamp and slept off too.

NEXT MORNING!

"Good morning softie." Sara greeted, coming over to their bed all dressed.

"Good morning why are you all dressed? Are you following mom to sell on the roadside today? Cara asked her. Sara chuckled and rolled her eyes.

"Silly, I am going out to look for a job, get your ass up, and wash so we can go together," she said before walking out of the room.

Cara sighed and looked up at the ceiling.

"I am getting scolded again by my younger sister ." She muttered. She was just a minute older than Sara!

I guess that counts as well.

Cara stood up from the bed and went out to fetch herself some water.

After bathing, she wore the most decent cloth that she has and pack her hair up in a ponytail after which she went out to meet Sara.

"Sara, what makes you think that today will be any different?

We have been doing this as a daily routine for many years now, seriously I am tired.

I can't do this anymore, people now make fun of us as if we are the cause of our unemployment" Cara said bitterly.

"You talk too much, please don't infect me with your lost hope, and let's go back to that company" Sara responded, pointing at the company in front of them.

Cara closed her eyes and opened them before they walk in.

"We are just trying for nothing, this place won't be any different," Cara muttered under her breath.

They walk inside the company and met the receptionist.

"Hi" They both greeted her.

She looked at them as they normally do.

"Hello, how may I help you? She asked looking at them with a hint of disgust.

"Ma'am please we are graduates, we want to know if there is space in your company for employment" Cara quickly responded before Sara could.

"I'm sorry young ladies, but we don't want new employees as of now, please try somewhere else," she said politely and Cara nodded.

She dragged Sara out of the company amidst her fight.

"What was that for huh?" Sara inquired. Cara stopped walking and looked at her.

"What it was for is for you not to cause any ruckus like you use to," Cara replied and walk away.

Cara walked for a little distance from where she was standing with Sara when she started feeling dizzy, her nose started bleeding.

Before she could think, she found herself on the ground.

"Cara, Cara!!" She heard Sara yelled but she couldn't move her limb.

"Damn it, it is time already?" She questioned herself.

Sara stared at the motionless body in her hand.

"What is wrong with Cara?" She thought out loud.

"Somebody help me." She cried out.

People came and gathered around them.

"Oh my, please call the ambulance." She shouted.

After ten minutes an ambulance came and took Cara while Sara followed her struggling with tears.

"What is wrong with her, is she suffering from any disease?" She couldn't stop asking herself.

They arrived at the hospital and Cara took to the emergency room while Sara waits eagerly outside, pacing around the corridor.

Thirty minutes later the nurse informed her that the doctor wants to see her.

She followed the nurse nervously.

Sara entered the doctor's office and sat down

The doctor looked up at Sara and invite her to a seat.

"You both are identical," he said.

"Sir, what is wrong with Cara?" Sara asked nervously.

"Your sister is suffering from leukemia." The doctor announced.

"Leukemia? Is it that bad?" Sara asked and the doctor nodded.

"Leukemia is a blood_forming tissue, hindering the body's ability to fight infections." The doctor explained. Cara's eyes widened.

"So doctor, how can it be treated?" Sara asked.

"Leukemia can't be a cure but can be treated through medications and enough rest of the body. Treatments include chemotherapy that's sometimes followed by radiation and stem cell transplant." The doctor explained.

"Where am I going to find the money for that treatments?" Sara wailed.

"She will be needing three specialists since her leukemia is an aggressive one. An oncologist, hematologist, pediatric hematologist." The doctor explained further.

"Please help me, doctor, we don't have the money for those treatments." Sara cried out.

"There's nothing I can do more than the one I have done Miss, now if you can excuse me," he said and faced his computer.

Sara stood up from the chair ad left the office, she went back inside Cara's ward.

She opened the door and went in, Cara was sleeping when she got there.

She sat beside her and caress her hair.

"You were in pain but never let me know?

Why did you prefer to hide things from me?" Sara asked dejectedly.

"Where am I going to find the money for your treatments?" She asked again.

"I'll not let anything happen to you is, that's a promise." She whispered and kissed her hair.

She stood up and walk out of the ward, at least she needs to inform their mom.

She went to where their mother was selling her snack, immediately Mrs. Brown saw her alone she walks towards Sara.

Sara where is your sister?" She asked and Sara broke down in tears.

"She was hospitalized, the doctor said she has leukemia." She announced.

"What!! Lead the way," she said and left her snack while Sara followed her.

A few minutes later they were in the doctor's office.

"Doctor, doctor please tell me, is my daughter okay? Mrs. Brown asked.

"Don't worry Mrs, a daughter we are fine, all you need is to pay in some money, and the necessary treatments will begin." The doctor told Mrs. Brown.

Sara walked out of the hospital pacing around the street.

"Where am I going to find the money for Cara's treatment? A stem cell transplant?" She asked no one in particular.

"Which job am I going to do to earn that amount in a day?" She continues.

A car stopped in front of her and she stepped back. The car door opened and a lady that was wearing a black bottoms-up jumpsuit with a sunshade on her face, she was also carrying a Hermes Birkin bag stepped out of the car.

"Longest time Sara," she said and remove her glasses.

"Nicole," Sara shouted as she rushed and hugged her.

"So tell me, what are you doing here all alone and where is your twin sister?" Nicole asked her. Sara had no other choice but to tell her what was going on.

"Nicole, where am I going to get money from? I don't have $50 with me not to talk of thousands." Sara laments.

"I am so sorry for what is happening to your sister girl, but you are my friend, and what are friends for if not to help each other?" Nicole asked and smile.

"What are you trying to say?" Sara asked for clarifications.

"Get inside the car, I'll show you," Nicole told her.

And that was how it started!
