Kathleen had been focusing on her phone when a car came speeding from behind and stopped right in front of her. She panicked and took a few steps back.
The guy driving the Bugatti Divo was none other than Alec Hyes. Kathleen was not only surprised with how rich he was but the fact that he so aggressively pulled up to her.
"What is this nonsense?" Kathleen didn't hold back asking him very angrily. She had enough of these hot men doing whatever they wanted to do in her life.
"I can take care of my son, I don't need a lecture for that, especially from someone who had to beg to live with him." Ryker bitterly responded once Kathleen not only denied helping them but taunted him for not being able to calm a baby down."See, I knew you are capable of taking care of him. Well, I'm tired too, goodnight." With much heavy heart, Kathleen walked back to her room and locked the door."I'm so sorry, mommy would clean the world for you but it's time that I admit he is also your father, he should be more responsible rather than stealing you from me and quickly putting you back in my lap only when he finds it difficult to take care of you," Kathleen whispered in tears as she watched her son's empty crib. She had to stop being too protective over Juan and let the father learn and take over his responsibility as well.On the other hand, Roy had found shelter through his friend. He was staying with his friend and his girlfriend for a few months
Roy tried calling Jamie again but she had put his number on the block now. “nO!” He whispered under his breath, slowly putting the phone off his ear.“What the f*** is wrong with you? Why did you do that?” Roy turned his attention towards the vicious Pamela and she shivered to see him this angrily.“How dare---you?” she quickly stepped back and glared at it once she realized that he wasn’t going to do anything. The door behind her opened and closed, her boyfriend had arrived home, “What do you mean by nobody would know?” she suddenly shouted and pretended to be scared out of her life.“What?” Roy looked her way and noticed his friend behind him. Oliver had heard some shouting’s when he was already entering the house and to see his friend angrily glaring at his scared girlfriend angered him.“What the f***! What did you do?” Oliver rushed between the two and then spared a g
Ryker was watching Kathleen get up and approach him. The weather was clear with clouds covering the sky and gentle wind playing against their skins. She reached him and got the package out of his hands, “Alec?” she smiled to herself, seeing his initials A.H on the package. Ryker heard her clearly even when she didn’t plan to make him listen to it.“Who is Alec?” Ryker was quick to raise an objection, his eyes were glued at Kathleen’s face and how happy she looked to receive something from this dude Alec.“What?” Kathleen finally acknowledged that he was still standing by her side, “someone I met at work.” She didn’t feel obliged to explain anything to him which annoyed him even more.“Job? What kind of job is that? You want me to believe that you are casually working as a bar attendant and nothing else? See do what you want but if any harm came my son’s way, it will be an end ga
Kathleen felt awkward locking her door when both Eloise and Ryker were staring at her in silence.“Kathleen!” Ryker voiced, getting up from his spot and agitatedly fixing his blue shirt.“Ryker!!” Eloise interrupted before Kathleen could even ask Ryker what did he want, “Can we talk in private?” she folded her arms and gritted her teeth.“One sec!” Ryker let out a sigh of exhaustion and ignored Eloise, he was staring at Kathleen for her reaction.“Sure, what is it?” Kathleen asked in a low tone, focusing on Ryker only as Eloise went inside the room again and slammed the door shut.“What the hec*!” Kathleen grunted, hearing Juan’s panic cries.“Oh dammit!” Ryker shrugged his shoulders and shook his head in disbelief. The door opened again in a flash of light and Eloise came out with her purse.“I have somewhere important to be at.” She
“Ah!” Roy waved the mosquito away while adjusting the trash can.“After you are done taking out the crash, lock this place.” The shop owner yelled from his car and drove away for home. He was able to get a job of cleaning duty in this small shop of doughnuts, he had yet to find a roof to sleep under at night. He had been spending nights in a park, hiding from the security. He hadn’t heard from Jamie these few weeks, it seemed as after blocking him, she never thought twice of him.“I have to prove my innocence to her.” He shoved the keys in his pockets and marched away from the shop, “I have to pay her a visit.” Roy decided and paced faster to be at Paul’s place before it gets late and Jamie gets upset at them for ruining their peace. He had to walk for almost half an hour to be near the mansion. Paul was a rich guy, and ever since he found out about what happened to his wife, he had been returnin
Roy woke up in the hospital with minor injuries but a fractured finger on his left hand.“OW!” he groaned, getting up in the bed and realizing the white walls around him were the hospital walls. He then recalled the whole event that caused him to fall down in the first place.“Jamie!” he whispered very sadly in his mouth, still trying to understand why she did that to him.“She must have done it in anger,” he shook his head at what Pamela had done. “Because of her, Jamie decided to give me the taste of my own medicine when in reality, I was innocent.” He murmured, wanting to meet Jamie again.“There is someone wanting to meet you.” The nurse saw Roy awaken in the bed and announced the arrival of some guests.“It must be Jamie.” He announced and nodded to the nurse. Quickly trying to fix attire but his forehead was wrapped up in a bandage. He wasn’t wrong, Jamie walked ins
Kathleen had just returned home in the morning after her shift from the bar and instead of getting inside her room, she crashed on the living room’s couch. She was tired and couldn’t really think of getting up any time soon, but she had it in her mind that after a few minutes, she will go back into her room. Eloise had come back after Ryker apologized to her for ignoring her but things were still pretty strange between them.Kathleen had fallen asleep eventually and the morning arrived. Ryker woke up before everyone else like every day and as he left his room for the terrace for a workout, he found Kathleen passed out on the couch.“Hm,” he sighed, secretly looking back at his room to see if the door was locked and Eloise was not awake. Ryker was shirtless, holding his cipher from which he was going to prepare his protein shake. He stayed by her side for another few seconds, watching her innocent, beautiful face and as he planned to leave, he no
“You know what? Think whatever you want to think. I was done going back and forth with you. You want an apology? Fine, I am sorry that I don’t have proof to comfort your aching soul.” Kathleen finally noticed the tears in the corner of her eyes but she swallowed them as quickly as they were born.“Now go and spend time with Eloise and let me be happy in my life.” Kathleen turned away from him as his sight was affecting her. It was true that the proof against her was too strong but she couldn’t stay feeling guilty and trying to prove her innocence when she had nothing but her words in her defense.“Don’t tell me what should I do and what not, if you didn’t mend your behavior I will throw you out of here and take away our son from you.” Ryker didn’t know what he was saying in anger. Part of him knew he was wrong for threatening to steal a baby away from a mother but the other part who felt betrayed was jus
