“What do you mean, Ms. Lauren?” Mr. Wesley asked, confused.

His brows had narrowed slightly as he looked from Lauren to the design glowing brightly on the large screen behind Tessa.

The confusion in his tone only made Lauren more unsettled. Her emotions were already hanging by a thread after Tessa unveiled the new design.

Hearing doubt instead of support irritated her even further.

“Nobody is allowed to add new designs to Flower Gods,” Lauren snapped furiously, moving quickly toward the stage

“I want you dead, Tessa!” Lauren snapped sharply, turning to Tessa, her teeth gritted. The words exploded out of her mouth so loudly that even the music playing softly around the hall suddenly felt distant. Rage had completely consumed her now. Her elegant appearance, the carefully practiced smiles, the gentle voice she used around investors and staff, everything had shattered completely in front of everyone. Her chest rose heavily as she stared at Tessa with eyes filled with hatred. For a second, it genuinely looked like she was going to lose control. She suddenly moved forward aggressively as if she wanted to attack Tessa directly, but before she could even get close, Curtis stepped in sharply between them.“Back off!” He barked, blocking Lauren with his arm.The force in his voice instantly froze her movement.Lauren halted abruptly. Her breathing became uneven as she stared at him in disbelief. She looked completely stunned by what had just happened. Never in her life had Curtis

Even Mr. Wesley was shocked and confused.“Ms. Dean, you mean Flower Gods is yours?” he asked, confused. The older man’s face carried genuine disbelief as he stared between Tessa and the glowing screen behind her. For months, Flower Gods had been publicly associated with Lauren. The entire industry already connected the successful jewelry line to her name. Investors praised her for it. Ecofel promoted her with it. Even magazines had written articles calling her a genius designer. And now suddenly, everything seemed to be collapsing.“I made the first sketch, but it wasn't good then I thrashed it,” Tessa explained calmly. “Who knew someone took it and even claimed it as her own design.”Her tone remained steady, but the words landed heavily. She slowly turned her gaze from Mr. Wesley back to Lauren who still looked frozen where she stood.Lauren’s lips parted slightly, but no words came out immediately. The color on her face had drained little by little ever since Tessa brought out t

The confusion in his tone only made Lauren more unsettled. Her emotions were already hanging by a thread after Tessa unveiled the new design. Hearing doubt instead of support irritated her even further.“Nobody is allowed to add new designs to Flower Gods,” Lauren snapped furiously, moving quickly toward the stage and pointing sharply at the screen. “This means that you stole it from me. I want you to delete this sketch.”The anger in her voice echoed heavily through the hall.Tessa remained standing calmly near the screen, her fingers loosely wrapped around the presentation remote. Unlike Lauren whose chest was rising and falling aggressively, Tessa looked strangely relaxed.“You have no right,” Tessa said, her voice firm. “Why delete such a good design?”Her calmness only worsened Lauren’s frustration

“You're stealing what's mine.” Lauren burst out again with rage. “You're a thief!”The sharpness in her voice cut through the hall so suddenly that the soft chatter around the guests died almost immediately. Many heads turned fully toward the stage while others froze with wine glasses halfway to their lips. The atmosphere that had earlier been filled with celebration and admiration slowly shifted into something heavier, tense and uncomfortable.Lauren stood stiffly beside the screen, her chest rising and falling rapidly. The elegant smile she had maintained throughout the evening was gone completely now, replaced with naked fury. Her fingers trembled visibly by her side, though she tried hard to hide it.The jewelry design displayed behind Tessa continued glowing brightly across the massive screen. Under the golden chandelier lights, the details appeared even more refined and breathtaking. The layered gemstones, the delicate silver curves and the carefully balanced structure imme

“Flower Gods is a hit.” Mr. Wesley said, lifting his glass of wine with a satisfied smile, clearly impressed. “Congratulations, Ms. Lauren.”Lauren’s lips curved into her usual polished smile, the kind that made people forget to question anything about her. She tilted her glass slightly and clinked it gently against his.“Thank you for your support,” she said smoothly. “I’ll lead Ecofel to greater heights.”Her voice carried confidence, her posture elegant, her presence commanding just enough attention without forcing it. Around them, a few investors nodded in agreement, murmuring praises under their breath. The success of the Flower Gods series had given her exactly what she needed: credibility, influence, and most importantly, control. For now.“Ah, Ms. Dean is here.”The voice cut through the soft chatter, and almost immediately, heads turned.Tessa had just stepped into the space. She didn’t rush. She didn’t announce herself. She simply walked in like someone who belonged, her

“Tell me.” Tessa said, standing right in front of him, her gaze cold and steady as she looked down at Paschal like he was nothing more than dirt beneath her feet. “What did Lauren tell you to do?”Paschal shifted slightly on his knees, his palms pressing against the floor as though he needed something to steady himself. His face was pale, his lips dry, and even the way he avoided her eyes made it obvious he was already breaking inside.“What do you mean?” he said, his voice low, but it carried a slight tremble he couldn’t hide. “I don’t know.”The lie fell flat immediately.Jason didn’t even give him a second to breathe before stepping forward, his movement sharp and filled with contained anger. He bent down and grabbed Paschal by the neck, his fingers tightening with deliberate force.“Tell us everything you know,” Jason said, his voice dangerously calm despite the violence in his grip, “or you’ll regret it.”Paschal gasped instantly, his hands flying up to Jason’s wrist, trying to
