The future of the kingdom

Cyrus didn’t have to wait for Sule for too long before Sule returned to the king’s bedroom, closely followed by the chief priest.

But while they were gone, Cyrus had once again propped himself up from his bed and he had gone to sit on his mini throne again. Sitting on the wolf seat was important to Cyrus because it gave him a sort of feeling of importance. He was already a vulnerable man but still, the chief priest’s perception about him seemed to matter to him.

Cyrus didn’t mind if Sule, his beta saw him in a weak state. Sule was his right-hand man and that counted for something. but he didn’t entirely share that same closeness with the chief priest.

To the chief priest, Cyrus was the king and Alpha and even though he was sick, he couldn’t still be seen as a weakling by one of his subjects.

There was a loud knock on Cyrus’s door and Cyrus beckoned on them to come in.

And they did.
