LOGINI practically fly up each step of the stairs, desperate to catch up to him before it's too late.
When I burst out of the building, I see dozens of students gathered together, each clutching the same dark red box he'd been given.
I can see the mix of sorrow, anxiety, and terror in their eyes. They hold their boxes tight against their chests, as if praying that whatever waits for them outside will be bearable enough to live through.
I tear my eyes away from the crowd and scan the sea of faces looking for Sandro.
Panic starts to rise in my chest when I can't spot him anywhere. I slow down, about to ask one of the selected students, then I catch sight of him near the back of the group.
A wave of relief washes over me, and I move quickly to reach him.
"SANDRO!" I shout, and he turns at the sound of my voice.
He looks at me, confusion clear in his eyes. "W-what are you doing here?" he asks as I finally reach him.
"Don't," I say firmly, making him raise an eyebrow in confusion.
"What are you talking about—"
"I SAID DON'T FUCKING GO!" I yell, and every eye in the crowd turns to stare at us.
"Klein—"
"Come on. I'll help you get out of this."
"They won't let you do anything—"
"AND WHO THE FUCK CARES?!" I snap, grabbing his hand and pulling him away from the group.
At first, I think we might get away with it, all the guards are busy organizing the selected Omegas. But I'm wrong...
"WHERE ARE YOU TWO GOING?!!" a voice booms through the air, making us freeze in our tracks.
"Fuck!" I curse under my breath, yanking Sandro's hand as we both take off running.
"STOP RIGHT THERE!" the guard roars behind us.
I don't bother looking back, pushing us to run faster as I hold Sandro's hand tight in mine.
If only we could shift into our wolf forms escaping would be so much easier. But this damned university makes us wear silver bracelets we can't break, just to keep us from transforming.
"Klein! You're only getting yourself into more trouble!" Sandro calls out from behind me.
"And that's exactly why they call me the rebellious Omega!" I shoot back.
"Just let me go already, Klein! I've accepted my fate!"
"FUCK THAT FATE!" I shout, glancing back at him for a split second before we turn toward the right wing of the campus.
"GET BACK HERE!!" the guards yell again, their footsteps getting closer.
Sandro and I push our legs even harder, running until we turn toward the back of the buildings.
"There's nowhere left for us to go, Klein," he pants. "Even if we keep running, they'll catch us and punish us anyway."
"That's exactly what I'm counting on!" I say. "If they punish us badly enough, they won't make you go to that auction. They'll beat us within an inch of our lives instead!"
I don't hear any response from Sandro behind me, so we keep running, but just as we're about to round the corner toward the back of the office building, a massive wolf blocks our path. Sandro and I skid to a stop immediately.
"Trying to cause trouble again, are we?"
Fuck! It's the Dean's Beta!
"Move! Head for the right side, Sandro!" I shout, already getting into a fighting stance.
"What?!" he yells back, stunned.
"I SAID RUN!"
"Are you out of your mind?! You can't fight a Beta on your own!"
"JUST FUCKING GO!" I scream again, my eyes locked on the wolf in front of us.
"N-No! I'm not leaving you alone!" Sandro shouts and that's when I turn to look at him.
I'm about to curse him out for being so stubborn, but I whip my head back toward the front when I hear him scream: "LOOK OUT!"
But it was already too late to dodge the Beta's massive claws slammed into me, sending my body flying through the air.
"KLEIN!" Sandro screams, moving to help me up but the Beta grabs him by the scruff of his neck before he can take another step. "Let me go, you bastard!" Sandro struggles against his grip, thrashing wildly.
"You think causing trouble will get you out of the auction? That was a foolish mistake, Omega." The Beta's wolf lets out a low growl before hurling Sandro's body to the ground like a rag doll.
I watch in horror as Sandro hits the wall first, his back slamming against the stone before he crumples to the pavement below. He spits out a mouthful of blood, his face pale with pain.
"FUCK!" I curse, pushing myself up but my legs shake violently beneath me. After what feels like an eternity, I manage to stand and stumble toward him.
"Is this how it ends for us?" Sandro whispers as I reach his side.
"Stop saying that!" I snap, sliding my arm under his shoulder to help him up. "Get on your feet!"
But before we can even straighten up, the Beta's voice rumbles from behind us "Since you're so determined to cause trouble... maybe we should just put an end to this right here."
The moment he says it, I move fast positioning myself in front of Sandro to face the Beta head-on.
"What's this? Trying to play hero now?" the Beta sneers, and rage burns hot in my chest. "The rebellious Omega who never cared about anyone or anything... now protecting his little friend—"
"SHUT THE FUCK UP, BASTARD!" I roared, charging at him without a second thought, even though I know I don't stand a chance.
> "Fuck this damn restraining bracelet!" Keno's voice thunders in my head, just as furious as I am. He can't take over to help me fight, trapped by the silver around my wrist.
"KLEIN!!" Sandro's scream rings in my ears as a powerful punch connects with my stomach.
I stagger backward, coughing up blood. I don't even have time to recover before the Beta slams his fist into my face, sending me flying once more.
I hit the hard ground face-first. Pain shoots through every nerve in my body, and my vision starts to blur at the edges.
"KLEIN!"
I force my head up just enough to see Sandro fighting against two guards holding him down. Tears stream down his face as he begs and struggles to get to me, until one of the guards punches him in the stomach, dropping him to his knees.
"Don't... hurt... h-him..."
Those are the last words I manage to get out before everything fades to black.
We were on our way back to our building.Nothing seemed out of the ordinary—just another routine afternoon between classes—until a group suddenly stepped out from the shade of the adjacent walkway and blocked our path.We froze in our tracks, our footsteps coming to a abrupt halt. Automatically, I narrowed my eyes and evaluated the unexpected obstacles in front of us.The moment my gaze landed on the person leading the group, I couldn't stop the exasperated, bitter scoff from escaping my lips."Long time no see, Klein," he greeted, an arrogant, mocking smirk spreading across his face. He spoke with a tone of casual familiarity, as if we hadn't just gotten into a massive physical altercation yesterday right here on campus grounds."So, you're still breathing?" I asked, keeping my voice deadpan and icy cold. I tilted my head slightly, letting my eyes sweep over him with complete contempt. "And here I thought Satan had already dragged you straight to hell."Right at that moment, my own
—Klein's POV—*One Week Later*I sat in silence on the bermuda grass in the garden behind the building. It was Monday, and it was our break time. I didn't go to the cafeteria because I brought my own food.I didn't want to interact with the students there.I'm allergic to them.I despise the way they look at me, as if I were nothing more than some kind of rotten garbage.Meanwhile, Gerald and Sandro were over there in the cafeteria. They chose to hang out with their newfound friends, Micah and Dylan.Actually, they tried to force me to come along with them, but what chance did they stand against someone like me? None.> "Don't you have any plans to make friends, Klein?""You? Don't you have any plans to stop pestering me with your endless questions? You are my fucking wolf, you should know me well!" I snapped at him instantly.Truthfully, I had been annoyed with Keno for a while now. I’d lost count of how many times he had asked me that exact same question over the past week.> "I wa
"Klein, are you alright?"My eyes immediately snapped over to Sandro the moment his voice broke the silence."What?" I snapped irritably, before quickly averting my gaze and shoving another bite of spaghetti into my mouth."We’ve noticed you’ve been squirming in your seat for a while now," he added gently, making it impossible for me to suppress the urge to grip my fork until my knuckles turned white."Just fucking mind your own food!" I growled, my frustration boiling over.Sandro didn't say another word. Almost instantly, a pang of guilt washed over me for snapping at him like that. But I couldn't stop the heat rising in my head, not after everything that had just happened earlier. And as those chaotic thoughts flashed through my mind, an unstoppable, furious blush rushed to my face.Fuck!Lysander had just fucked me relentlessly, without pausing for even a single second! And because Sandro and Gerald were waiting for me outside, it only gave that bastard more of a reason to drive i
My fists clenched until my knuckles turned stark white. I stood rooted to the spot like a carved statue, my head bowed low in humiliated defeat. If a stare could bore holes through solid stone, my furious glare would have carved a direct line straight into the depths of hell."Come here, kitten," he commanded, his voice dripping with smooth authority.Every instinct roared at me to refuse, to fight back, yet my treacherous legs betrayed me as I found myself walking right back toward them."Your wounds haven't even healed yet. Stop thrashing around like a wild animal for now," he lectured condescendingly, talking down to me as if I were nothing more than a throwing a temper tantrum.I kept my mouth shut. My head remained bowed, while in my mind, I viciously executed Sandro and Gerald a thousand times over—saving a special, agonizing end for Lysander, who stood nearby secretly snickering at my expense."And you," Lucien spoke.I didn't care enough to look up and see who he was addressi
"Sorry? For damn what?" I snapped, raising an eyebrow at the two of them in disbelief."We are sorry because you felt like we betrayed you. We are sorry because we didn’t follow what you wanted. We are sorry because...""...for trusting our mate. We are sorry, Klein," Gerald continued, picking up right where Sandro left off. "We know deep down that you're just worried about us—""And who the absolute fuck says that I'm worried about you?!" I fired back immediately, cutting them off with a sharp glare. "If you two only came here to babble about nonsense, you are free to walk right out that door. Besides, I couldn't care less about your life plans. And believe me, the moment they hurt you, I still won't give a damn, and don't you dare expect me to lift a finger to help you!" I ranted in pure rage, violently shoving myself up from my seat.Even though my body throbbed with agonizing pain and my legs threatened to buckle beneath me, I forced myself to stand tall, turned my back on them, a
"Klein? Are you still asleep?"Fuck it!"S-Slow down—Ah, fuck!!" My hand instinctively flew back to cover my mouth as I let out a loud gasp when Lucifer forcefully slammed his hips forward, driving his fucking manhood deep within my guts."Klein! Are you alright!?"This time, it was Gerald's voice I heard, accompanied by heavy knocking on the door.Fuck it!Wrong timing! What the hell are they doing here?!"Answer them, baby. Or they might barge in," Lucifer teased with a smirk, his relentless pounding against my tight core never stopping, which made it impossible to suppress my soft whimpers and the way my back arched every time he hit that sensitive spot inside me that dialed up the heat and pleasure to the max."M-Move. My friends are here!" I choked out, trying in vain to shove him away."Move? Are you sure you want me to stop, baby?"At his question, I went dead silent. I just stared straight into his eyes for a moment, weighing whether it was actually smart to make him stop in t
Third Person POV Slowly, Klein pried his eyes open, roused by the sound of voices and movement echoing around the room."F-fuck..." he muttered, the taste of iron still lingering in his mouth. He tried to sit up, but pain shot through his body, forcing him to grit his teeth. As the memories of wha
As soon as we step into our dorm, Sandro heads straight for the kitchen while I make my way to my bedroom to shower. After rinsing off and feeling somewhat human again, I walk out of my room in nothing but my boxers. Sandro’s already settled on the couch, a bottle of beer sitting on the coffee ta
Morning comes too soon, and I’m still lying in bed. I didn’t sleep at all last night my mind was too full of thoughts to rest. Now I have no energy to get up and attend the worthless classes this university forces on us.When you really think about it, what good are their lessons? What’s the point
Klein's POVThe only sounds I can hear right now are the crack of whips and screams echoing off the stone walls. I watched them, trembling, begging, crying as the heartless guards punish them here in the dungeon.I shake my head in disgust. “Pathetic. What good does crying and pleading do when they
