We spent nearly two hours in the diner, as usual. "They asked me for an appointment." I look up at Amanda, who stands in front of me, face down and shoulders slumped in defeat. I sigh. I figured this would be a complication. As soon as we landed in New York last night, we went straight to the hotel to sleep. In our hurry to make the flight, I hadn't thought of any plan on what to say to the twins, or how I would even get the opportunity to say it. After all, I doubt the security would let me near them.
