ARTEMIS POV

My heart was beating fast, my breath shallow, that magnetic pull was there, drawing us to one another. We were staring at one another from across the field, so far yet so close to one another. Suddenly he was on me, his hands cradling my face, his thumbs caressing my cheeks, his eyes roaming my face as if it was his first time seeing it and he was trying to memorize it. I looked up and got lost in the green of his eyes, they made me feel as if I was roaming through a forest on a spring day. In the gold flecks around his irises there was fire, and electricity, a warm feeling of excitement, but there is also darkness, one that can overshadow his light.

All thoughts were lost the moment his lips touched mine, for the next few breaths the earth stood still, nothing else mattered.
