Omniscient point of view

Darling, you are finally awake," Grandma Ash ran towards Nico, who was relaxed on the bed.

She stared around the room, realization dawned on her, "We are home?" She was shocked.

"I remember fainting," she added while Grandma Ash stared at her in amusement.

She looked at her, her palms on her chin while she blinked her eyes slowly, making Nico a little uncomfortable.

"What matters now is that you are home and healthy," she smiled. Grandma Ash rarely talks without smiling, and if she didn't, it was a sign for anybody to understand that she wasn't joking.

She had been Rowen and Latisha’s dutiful grandma ever since their mother died.

"It's been two days you have been sleeping, darling. I was so worried," Latisha stood on her feet, bringing Nico the water she struggled to take from her bedside stand.

"Thanks, Granny," she blushed.

Grandma paced through the room, her steps a bit calculated .

"Oh, dear, you really don't need to." She answered muffled in her words

Let's go to the dining," she cut across; however, Nico didn't seem to be interested in leaving her room.

"I'm not hungry, Grandma," she snuggled her face in a defiant manner. Ash reached for her arm;

however, her hands touched her wound as she grabbed it unknowingly

"Aaah," she screamed, tears threatening to drop.

"I didn't mean to," Ash defended while gently pulling Nico from the bed.

"I promise you once you taste this meal, you will forget all of your pain," they finally left the still room while they both strolled down.

"What crap did you serve?" Latisha echoed through the dining hall .

She pushed the ceramic plate with force while it dashed towards the ground with force, breaking into a million unpickable pieces.

"I'm sorry, ma'am, I just cooked what you asked me to," Clara said, trying to clean the mess she had created, while her hands touched the ceramic glass slowly to avoid being cut.

"Glue them back together. I bought that from Italy when I returned," she sneered, her eyes turning red.

Nico paced downwards , her legs leaving each stair while her gaze was on latisha .

Oh dear, be careful; you just woke up," Grandma Ash chased after her muttering her words .

"What's wrong?" Nico's voice caught them unguarded while they looked at her like they had just seen a ghost.

"You woke up, sister-in-law," Latisha rushed towards her side, urging her to come to sit.

She was so caring like she hadn't just acted like a monster a few minutes ago.

Grandma Ash pulled out a chair, passing the soups to Nico to try them out.

She sipped on them slowly, while the seasoned broth of the meat engulfed her mouth as she nodded in satisfaction.

"This is good, Grandma," she nodded as Rowen stared at her.

Latisha's voice boomed through the tiny table again, "You filthy servant, is that how to clean?" She dragged Clara’s hair backward while the latter grinned in pain.

Nico slowly dropped her spoon, chewing the meat slowly while the metal gave a sharp sound.

"That doesn't give you the right to treat my servant in that manner," she defended, rolling her eyes at Rowen, however, he did nothing but sit, his hands on the table, his mouth twisting and turning while he enjoyed the meal.

"What do you mean?" Latisha was taken aback, quite displeased since she heard the statement from Nico herself.

"Remove your hand from her head at this moment," she said in a soft voice, while Clara still whimpered.

"You can't control me; I will do what seems right to me," she stated in a furious manner.

"I sure can, because I'm the Luna of the dawnhill pack " Nico retorted, turning the tables on Latisha.

"You don't get to treat my maid like that," Nico fired back at Latisha, who still seemed to be giving Clara her punishment.

She was kneeling on the shattered ceramic glass, her legs bleeding slowly as the fragmented pieces of the glass sunk into her legs.

"Stand up, Clara," Nico ordered, almost agitated.

Clara stood up, monitoring the gaze of Alpha Rowen; maybe he would say something, however, he didn't.

Latisha's eyes ran through Clara’s body, ordering her to kneel once again.

"You don't get to reverse my orders, Latisha," she fired back, ordering Clara to follow her swiftly.

Latisha scoffed, gazing through her eyes like she could do the unspeakable.

"I'm the Alpha’s sister, and yes, I can reverse your orders."

An instant force gripped Latisha, pulling her backward involuntarily, her butt landing on the floor, grandma waved her wand winking at it slowly .

"What the heck," Latisha groaned with the hard bag on her butt while she struggled to stand up.

“ Grandma, why would you use your wolf powers on me?" she nagged, feeling betrayed .

“ It's because you weren't listening to Nico “, she chewed on her meat , silently like she hadn't done anything.

Latisha was still on the floor, rubbing her butt gently the she finally stood up.

She gave Nico a hateful look before walking away. "Nora was better," she muttered in a way Nico could hear her well.

“ Don't mind her “ , grandma patted Nico slowly on her arm .

However Nico couldn't stand it. The thought of it!

Not the sight of it!

And maybe it was finally time she set her boundaries in the kingdom.

Clara was more than a maid to her; she was her friend, and even if she was just a maid, she didn't choose her life nor her birth.

She gulped the hot peppered soup, swallowing it through her throat while she picked it up, driving the meat through her mouth.

"Take it easy, child!" Grandma patted her back, staring at Rowen who didn't look quite pleased but kept silent.

Her mind churned, her stomach seemed too full, yet she didn't feel too good while dropping the bowl on the table.

"Drink up it will make you feel better ," Grandma Ash persisted, and she finally gave the drink a last thud, banging the cup against the table.

She covered her mouth and lost control, throwing up on Rowen's shirt.

"Fuck," he said disgustingly.

His gaze turned swiftly and immediately he heard Latisha’s voice .

“ Nice , smile for the camera “, she grinned in a sly manner while watching Latisha hold her phone .

Nico rushed towards the bathroom, Grandma Ash following swiftly behind her.

" What if she was pregnant?”

  • The Unchosen Luna     Chapter Nine: The problematic plan

Nico’s Point of View Thanks to the tinted windows of the car, I was able to change out of the dress I had worn before the driver pulled to a stop. “My lady, what are you doing?” Clara whispered, her voice panicked. Outside, the sounds of the crowd filtered in—howls of celebration, cheers, murmurs, and laughter. But I didn’t want their noise. I didn’t want their expectations pressing down on me like chains. I wanted silence. Because expectations break you. The more you keep them, the more disappointment eats you alive. “My lady, what are you doing?” Clara asked again, struggling to keep her voice steady as she watched me fold the white gown from my father’s pack. When I finished dressing, I caught her wide-eyed stare. I had traded the gown for a black stone-studded bum short, a black crop top, and a fluffy jacket. A cap sat low on my head, sunglasses hiding my eyes. I even pulled out the black umbrella I’d tucked beneath the seat. Clara was stunned, but wisely swallowed whatev
