Omniscient point of view

Few hours later

It was late already , the moon shone brightly outside, as the chirping of the birds , with the sounds of the beep machine mixed in the air .

“ You may see her now “, Doctor Raven walked towards the alpha while he questioned the nurses

Rowen had a confused look , his heart beating faster than it's usual , grandma sat on the chair , paying full attention to the doctor who was about to speak, while Latisha stared like she didn't care however her attention was on Doctor Raven.

“ She is stable now “, Rowen moved quietly and slowly, a soft sigh escaping his lips as he closed his eyes and opened it after a few seconds.

His foot led him to the ward as grandma and Latisha walked slowly beside him .

His eyes met with hers , digging deep into the stare she gave him , relief washed through him . For a minute grandma’s words prevailed in his heart .

“ What if she had died “?. Apart from her father the question boomed in his heart while he slo

Nico's point of view “Shut up!” I ordered, this time I was just so pissed, I just couldn't understand why. It was already midnight, and Latisha was still being punished by me. If I could find the borderline between being annoyed and unhappy, that was the definition of who I was at that moment. I was born into luxury, so I knew I could be happy in it, but life after marriage felt totally different. No one was allowed to sleep if the alpha fell ill; it was custom, and rules had to be obeyed. Latisha had kept quiet after I ordered her to, while I stared at Rowen, who had opened his eyes a few minutes ago. “How do you feel?” I asked him, and he stared at me as if it didn't matter. “ Who is on the floor “ , he asked a bit concerned “It's just someone who isn't willing to listen to simple instructions,” I said, wrapping a blanket around his cold feet while he adjusted his back on the pillow. It was quite dark, so he couldn't see, and it wasn't my business to create light. At lea

Nico's point of viewThe soldiers immediately drew their swords on me at Latisha's command, and that was when I definitely realized how powerless I had been. I wanted to make an attempt towards Rowen to see how he was doing.I couldn't even dare move because a sword was pointed towards my throat, and one little move could shatter everything else. You know what was the most embarrassing? The fact that the Moonhill chefs were staring at me, but I was powerless, unable to do anything. They didn't intend to harm Rowen because if they did, why would I be perfectly okay and he would be vomiting blood.Latisha held her brother by his arm while trying to calm him down. He stared at me looking tired as his heavy eyes dilated.“Remove those swords,” his faint breath uttered. Even a dying alpha was way more important and in control than an active Luna.I could finally walk towards him as I held his hands. “I would call the pack’s doctor now,” I realized we were being watched, so I walked up to

  • The Unchosen Luna    Chapter Forty-eight: A competition between packs

Nico's Point of ViewI rushed towards the courtroom with alacrity when I heard the alpha had called for me.Initially, I had thought he called me because he had found out the truth. However, when I got there, I met most of the Dawnhill chefs in the courtroom. A smile crept on my face, yet fear was hanging on one side. You know when you are doing something, but you are unsure because fear has gained ground and control “Welcome Luna,” they all chorused, bowing down their heads.“Nico, you would be in charge of your people. The competition would be starting in an hour, and I needed you ready.”“Alright, babe,” it slipped out of my mouth, and before I could realize it, everyone was staring at me. I had just referred to the alpha like that right in front of numerous people From the old wolf councils to the Dawnhill chefs who were settled and Latisha, who stood by a corner with folded arms and a conflicted mind.“Okay, alpha,” I changed it immediately once I had realized my error. However

Nico’s point of view“Really,” I asked Latisha, while claiming innocence. I knew the wolf spell book wasn't allowed in the kingdom but I just couldn't act like I knew. I blamed myself for being so careless around her. I should have immediately hidden it the moment she walked in, but she had entered without warning. So, I was caught off guard. “What are you thinking about?” she asked, smiling.I could say I was pretty good at lying and hiding behind a mask without being caught. It takes a whole lot of skill to catch me.“I was thinking about the event. It's tomorrow, and we haven't made any preparations for it,” I said, dropping my phone on the shelves.“You know that isn't a big deal. I'll talk to the maids to handle it. You really don't need to stress yourself; I got you,” she smiled, clicking her nails together while looking at me.“You know, most times I actually wonder why you are so quiet,” she finally said.“It's not like I'm quiet. I talk sometimes, and when there is literall

Omniscient narrative“Nico!” It took just a bang to wake her up, as she stretched and rolled on the bed. “Please, I'm still feeling very sleepy,” she muttered, while taking up the blanket across her face, covering it for a moment. “Luna, you have to stand up, you are late for the council meeting,” Clara said, removing the blankets which once covered Nico's face immediately. She walked towards the bed stand , grabbing the jug, sprinkling water on her face before Nico finally opened her eyes. Her eyes were half-baked, red, and swollen. “Why did you wake me up? I just slept about an hour ago,” she protested, staring at Clara who kept quiet.“Yeah, and that's the result, a pile of 20 more books we still have to read,” Clara stated while Nico fell back on the bed.“I'm super exhausted. I really don't want to do anything, honestly,” she signified.“It's all my fault, Luna. I'm really sorry,” her eyes were filled with every emotion possible as she folded Nico’s palms in hers.“I know your

Nico's point of viewI pushed him away with total force before I ran out of the room. That was very unusual to do, and I knew the cause of it already, so there was practically no need for beating around the bush.“Shit, that damn spell,” I muttered. I would have left it to keep working, but I loved the fact that he was not his usual self.I mean, Rowen was usually this type of person that carried an aura that everyone could quite notice because of his cold and nonchalant demeanor.“What's up?” I turned backwards only to see Latisha at my back.At first, I wanted to show my reaction, but I kept quiet. What if she found out something was wrong with her brother and then sentenced Clara to death or something?‘I had to find a way to remove the spell; there surely should be a way out.“Hmm, nothing much, I'm just coming back from Rowen's room.I had already told her about how he said the competition was going to be held in the next two days.“I'm quite excited,” she said while smiling all
