Blake

I decided to walk around and check on everyone; besides, I didn't know where Ivy was and thought it was a good idea to look for her. My pack has been neglected since finding Ivy, and I wasn’t proud of that.

Eventually, my walk ended at our training grounds, which were always busy, even at this late hour. I put this in place so anyone who wanted to learn to defend themselves had the opportunity, regardless of rank. Our lower-ranking wolves, or omegas, are busy in the kitchens and gardens or cleaning during the day. So, training after work was the only time they could. I did not tolerate excluding them from any schooling or training that our omega wolves received. Honestly, I never really liked the ranking system at all, but I hope that the pack grows to love it. She still needed more time, and we had the rest of our lives to achieve it, so I’d take my time. Rushing it could be fatal to our relationship.

Anyway, that night, it was busier than usual. All of my warriors seemed to be

IvyAfter pounding the bag for over two hours, I walked around the territory to continue investigating what everyone had done all day. It was hard, but I tried to forget what had happened in the locker room as I walked around. I didn’t care that Syyler was dead, but I was worried about what she knew. The kids at the school were outside playing and being very loud about it. It knocked my thoughts out of my head, so I couldn’t be mad about it. I watched them momentarily before one of them was suddenly there next to me. “Do you want to play with us?”“What are you playing?” I asked the kid. She was maybe six. Her baby blonde hair was pulled into a small ponytail on the top of her head, and she had light hazel eyes.“We are playing tag. Do you know how to play?” She was a little shy by nature, but tried hard to be brave as she spoke to me. Not that I thought I was scary, but perhaps I was to her. “What is your name?” I asked her. “Ava.” She answered, looking down at her feet.“Ava, ma

IvyWell, that was just a pathetic waste of my time. I loved cooking and doing for people made me feel good but I felt like I just received a blow to my chest. My friends had always really liked my cooking. I guess wolves do not. Then I got sad. There was so little here that seemed to mean anything. Like, what the hell did these people do all day? Blake and Rick would disappear into the office for hours. The other mates hid in their rooms or sat around drinking or smoking. They seemed very good at getting pregnant. But still drank and smoked while their fetuses struggled to grow in such a hostile environment. It was weird to watch, and I wanted to smack them. They didn’t even take care of their children. Sorry, I should say their pups.I wouldn’t be opposed to it if they did other things, but they don’t. I’m not shaming people who put their kids in daycare to work or even to have some peace at home for a while. But these women were lazy. Trophy wives, I guess? I should shut up and enj

  • The Underworld Luna   Chapter Thirty five

BlakeI woke up to the smell of bacon. One thing I very much love in the morning, but the smell has never wafted into my room before. I reached over, realizing I was alone. Frowning, I rolled out of bed to shower. The water hit me hard and briefly shocked my body as it warmed up. By the time I was done, all I smelled was food, which made me realize how hungry I was. Maybe Ivy had been starved and had stuff sent up?When I almost reached the door of our room, I realized she was in the kitchen, actually cooking. I hugged her from behind and kissed her cheek. “What are you doing, Darling?”“Making breakfast?” She seemed confused about why I was asking.“Sure, okay. The better question is why?”“Because we have to eat?” Then she waved me off to get back to work.“Sweetheart, they have people who I pay to do these things.” I reminded her. Putting things on plates, she held them out to me and asked, “Are you saying you don’t want it?”"No of course,I want your food made by your precious han

Ivy I couldn't sleep; the thought of being relaxed was not happening. All of this was still new for me, and I was trying my best to fit in. It was a relief that Blake was asleep, so I could stop pretending. His thought was that being with him was safer than out there, but it was hard to believe when half of his warriors wanted me dead.I will admit I was focusing on those threatening me and not on those who were a lot of fun to fight. Kire was the youngest of the warriors out there and had little ego during our fight. He was the one I yelled at when we were out at the mall. I apologized, and he brushed it off. He was strong but needed to learn to hide his punches. Once I gave him the tip, he expertly incorporated it. The attention I gave him kept making him blush. It was going well until his mate showed up. She did not appreciate the hug I gave him after I pinned him. I understood. I had some of that possessive energy about Blake that she felt about her mate. It was maddening to rea

  • The Underworld Luna    Chapter Thirty two

RickIt’s good that I finally got close enough to Ivy to wipe her memory of our night together because I could no longer continue to dodge her, even if I wanted to. Keeping her safe was going to be an impossible task, and my only plan about how to do so was to never let her out of my sight. But every time she looked at me and had no idea who I was, it hurt. Hurt was an understatement. It killed a part of me. I just needed to keep reminding myself that it was necessary. If the opportunity ever presented itself, I could unblock the memory. It was called a memory wipe, but it was a block. I could bring it back to her when I was ready. When she was ready.'This is wrong,' Fang complained."This is saving us, so it's right."He rolled his eyes at me.'Well, I hope you know what you're doing.'Suddenly, my mind linked with the gamma that more rogues were coming in to attack us. We have already planned for this, but I was uneasy about it.Blake informed me that he met Ivy's Grandmother, and i
