Zane's POV

The lights of my study flickered around me as I stood frozen in place. It felt as though the stone-cold wall pressed against my back, but nothing made me shiver more than Zara's words.

A child.

Those two syllables hovered in my head like the aftershock of a bomb all through the ride from the hotel to my mansion. My heart beat faster as I tried to breathe and make sense of Zara's words. She was... pregnant? And I never knew?

The image of her angry face, the fury in her eyes, and the grief in her voice-it was all too real. Too raw to be a sham. She couldn't have been lying about it.

The truth hit deep into me like poison. I didn't know what hit me harder. The unveiling of her identity? The news of a child? The man who was all over her? Or her final words to me as she walked away.

The scene where I pushed her out of my house onto the pavement three years

  • The Untouchable Heiress He Regrets Losing   Just Like Edward Wesley

Brad’s POVI had only been away for a few weeks, and a lot had happened. A quick absence to monitor the business abroad, yet in that period, the walls I built had cracked open, exposing truths that’d be better untold. My insides burned with fury when I remembered the look on people’s faces when such hideous secrets about Zane were published, and the dirty pictures of that ex-wife of his. My nails dug into the wooden desk as I gripped it with so much strength, staring at the city skyline through the glass. The Wesley name, my fucking name, wasn’t one that should be dragged in the mud, no matter what the fuck anyone had done. I had built this empire with so much grit, sweat, and blood for it to crumble over such measly acts. But this…this looks fishy and intentional. Why just now? Why were many things being exposed at once? This gave a familiar feeling I had been trying to push aside since the arrest. I paced around my office, memories dragging me decades into the past.My elder brothe

  • The Untouchable Heiress He Regrets Losing   A Family I Wish I Had

Zara’s POVWhen we got there, the place was calm and quiet, the swings were still, and the slide was empty except for a little shape underneath. We moved closer to check the image we saw. I sighed heavily upon seeing Lucas. “He’s the one,” I said in relief.Leo nodded and called Kelvin to inform him to stop his search.Lucas was crying so hard that he didn’t hear us approach him. I went to his front and knelt slowly. His eyes were swollen and red. “Lucas,” I whispered.“I want my Mum and Dad,” he cried, voice shaking. “It’s okay,” I said, gathering him into my arms as he continued sobbing. His body trembled in mine at first, but after a while, he relaxed into me, clinging to my shoulders.I simply patted him on the back and remained in that position while Leo sat on a bench, watching us. Later, he stopped crying and released himself from me. I gently wiped his tears as Leo walked up to us. “How is he?” he asked, his tone relaxed.I simply nodded with a smile.“I have an idea,” Le

  • The Untouchable Heiress He Regrets Losing   The Price Of Revenge

Zara’s POVWe raced through the halls, out to a car waiting for us, and drove off. My heart hammered as we took a turn into the environment I once called home. Memories of living here, taking long walks down the street with Zane while planning how we would raise our children. But now, I was glad I didn’t have children with that beast. At least, they didn’t get to have a father like him.As soon as we pulled up to Zane’s mansion, police cars and reporters were already occupying the driveway. We drove slowly, looking for a suitable place to get out of the car and stay away from the reporters, too.By the time we parked and got off, we saw men in suits going in and out of the house with boxes in their hands. From where we stood, we could hear Elora screaming. “You have no right to come here and yank my properties away!” “Who sent you?!” she shrieked. When she saw us, her eyes went wild. “You,” she hissed. “What the hell are you doing here?” she snapped, her gaze slicing through me. L

  • The Untouchable Heiress He Regrets Losing   The Last Goodbye

Zara’s POVI stood in the hallway, watching as Zane was dragged from his office. It felt so thrilling to see because I had waited long for this moment where he gets to pay for his wrongs and crimes. But a jail term would be nothing compared to what I would rather he suffers for intentionally getting into that accident I sacrificed my life and career for.My insides jumped in excitement as I heard his loud protests against the police and prosecutors. “You can’t do this,” he barked, trying to yank himself away from the officers that held his arm tight. His tie was loose, his hair rough and his eyes burned with fury that was so relaxing to see.As the officers dragged him closer to my office, he turned to me, holding his gaze. Then he paused. “Zara,” he whispered. “Tell me, were you in on this with Leo?...Was this your plan all along too?”I held his stare, biting my lower lip to stop myself from laughing. Then I lifted my chin. “You guessed right.”In a second, his face fell. His eyes

  • The Untouchable Heiress He Regrets Losing   The Arrest

Zane’s POVThe office felt colder today. Not because of the air conditioner, but from the cold stares I got from everyone on the way to my office. It usually didn’t get to me anytime I was criticized and looked at with contempt, but this time, I felt it. The weight, the whispers, and the disgrace.Everywhere I turned, I was greeted with judging eyes. Who the fuck are they to look at me like that in my father’s company? Besides, everything posted about me could have been fabricated. Why did no one care to hear my side of the fucking story?“Arghhhhhhhh!!” I screamed, my mind racing with many questions about who could have found the dirtiest of my secrets and dared to show it to the whole world.I looked around, heart pounding profusely, wondering if I would find a means of escape this time around. The look on my father’s face was one I had never seen before. I had fallen into trouble a couple of times, and his reactions gave me hope that I would get out of it, but this time around, it
