Chapter 65: Will he Understand

As Rae clenches onto me I hear her soft voice “Can you put me back in the tub?”
“Why?” Looking at her skin I know she’s been in there a while. “It seems you’ve been soaking in the tub for quite some time, you look like a prune.”
Rae buries her face in my chest muffling her voice “I had a rough night. It’s helping me to calm down.”
What does she mean by a rough night? Did she have a bad dream or something? This is so unlike her. I don’t feel safe enough to let her just sit in the tub, what if she goes under and doesn’t come up for air? There is something definitely wrong with her and I need to find out what. Carrying her over to the tub I decide to step into the tub with her. I don’t care that my clothes are still on, if this calms her down and if I can get her to talk to me I can deal with it.

Jeong’s POVIt’s been two days since the morning I spoke with Rae. Every time I’ve seen her it was either extremely awkward or she’d run away.
