“Not all humans are to blame for our parents death, Lestat. They are innocent,” Vicotoria said.

"What do you want Damen?" i asked as I accepted the call

"King Lestat. One of the human slaves are not listening. Do you mind if I teach her a lesson?" Damen asked. I didn’t understand why he was asking me that. He was wateing my time. Why would I care about what he did to them

"Of course not. Do whatever you want to her," I said before I ended the call. I didn’t understand why but I suddenly felt a pain in my chest. I felt a bad feeling but shook it off

“What do you mean he can do whatever he wants to the humans? I won’t let him hurt them,” Victoria said, and she started to run. I knew she was headed to the jail. I sighed and decided to go after her.

“I can’t believe you are so cruel,” Victoria said. We had been arguing the entire we walked to the jail. She was upset that the humans were locked in a cell and that I had given Damen the okay to do whatever he wanted to them. 

“You can think whatever you want, but I have already made up my mind,” I replied, and I put my hand to my chest, which was still in pain. I didn’t understand why, but I started to walk faster. I felt something was wrong. Before we walked into the jail, an intoxicating scent hit. It was like a strawberry, orange, and vanilla scent.

“What are you talking about?” Victoria asked, confused. That was when I heard the screaming.

"I was going to take it easy on you, but since you want to be difficult, I changed my mind," I heard Damen say. Without hesitation I started running. I knew I needed to get to that cell before and quick. I heard Victoria call me but I ignored her.
