*Lotus POV*

Just then, the maids came in to prepare me for breakfast. They greeted me with a warm smile, and I returned the gesture as they dressed me for the day. I followed them downstairs to the dining room, hoping Seth would be there to join me for breakfast as he usually does.

But when I arrived at the table, it was empty, and Seth was nowhere to be seen. I asked one of the maids where he was, and she informed me that he had left early in the morning for an urgent matter and would be back before evening.

I sat at the table alone, observing the food laid out in front of me. My appetite had faded, and I couldn't help but think about last night and why Seth had left without a word. As I ate in silence, my thoughts wandered, wondering what was so urgent that he had to leave very early this morning. Was it because of what happened last night?” I asked myself in my mind while I ate.
