*Lotus POV*

As soon as Seth mentioned his request, my heart raced with a mix of fear and surprise. I couldn't believe what I had just heard. "A child with me?" I asked, trying to wrap my head around his proposal.

"I want you to have my child," he said, his eyes locked on mine.

I was speechless. I had never imagined myself in this situation before, and the thought of carrying the child of a vampire king seemed impossible. I had so many questions, but I didn't know where to start. "Why me?" I finally managed to ask.

"I have been searching for a breeder for a long time, someone who can provide me with the perfect offspring. When I saw you at the auction, I knew that you were the perfect match for me."

I scoffed softly, feeling a mix of anger and fear. "Use me as a breeder, and then what? What happens when you finally have no use for me anymore? Will you just kill me? It's better if you just kill me now than force me into doing something I don't want to do."

"I understand your concerns," Seth said, his voice calm and measured. "But I can assure you that I have no intention of killing you. You will be well taken care of and given everything you need. And when your child is born, you will be free to go."

I wasn't sure if I believed him, but the way he spoke was convincing. Still, I couldn't imagine being trapped in this situation, forced to bear a child for a vampire. "I don't want to," I replied, staring at him with fierce, daring eyes. "Why can't you find someone else to do it? Another human, or better yet, one of your own kind?"

"I have searched for a long time, and you are the one I have chosen," Seth said firmly. "And I will not force you to do anything you don't want to do. But I hope that you will consider my proposal. Think about it, and let me know your decision."

I turned my face away, folding my arms across my chest. The thought of being used like this made me sick to my stomach.

"You won't die and if you must know, a female vampire cannot bear children and you are my choice, so you will carry my child," Seth said in a calm, respectful tone.

"I refuse!" I protested, folding my arms across my chest.

Seth looked at me with understanding in his eyes. "I understand that this is a lot to take in, but please hear me out. I have been searching for a mate for a long time, and I believe that you are the perfect match for me. I have never felt such a strong connection with anyone else before."

"I appreciate your honesty, but I cannot accept this," I replied firmly.

Seth's expression softened. "I understand. I do not want to force you into anything you do not want to do. But I want you to know that I care for you and I am willing to do whatever it takes to make you feel comfortable and safe."

I looked at him skeptically. "How can I trust you? You are a vampire, and I am your slave. What's to stop you from using your powers to make me do something against my will?"

Seth sat calmly before me, his voice level and respectful as he spoke. "I understand your reluctance, but I must ask you to reconsider. I would never force you to do anything against your will, but know that I have the ability to command your mind and body. However, I would rather earn your trust and have you willingly give yourself to me."

His words, though still intimidating, were much more composed and dignified. I couldn't help but feel a sense of relief that he wasn't as cruel as I had initially thought.

"I appreciate your honesty," I replied, still wary but willing to listen.

"Thank you," he nodded. "Take all the time you need to think it over, but do keep in mind that I do not take kindly to disobedience."

With that, he rose from his seat and prepared to leave. "I will give you some space, but do not attempt to escape. There are consequences for such actions."

As I stood there in shock, watching the Vampire King Seth Cassius walk away, I couldn't help but wonder why he had been willing to pay such a high price for me. I had no idea what made me so special, but it was clear that he had something specific in mind.

"In the days and weeks that followed, I tried to piece together the reason behind his interest in me and why he was being so nice to me. Being somewhat skeptical about his kindness towards me, no matter how hard I tried, I couldn't come up with a logical explanation."

The idea that my rare blood type might have something to do with it never crossed my mind. I had no clue that my blood could produce vampire children, and the mere thought of such a thing was terrifying.

As I struggled to come to terms with my new reality, I couldn't help but feel trapped and helpless. My fate was no longer in my own hands, and the thought of being at the mercy of a powerful vampire like Seth was daunting.

But despite my fears, I knew that I needed to find a way to survive in this new world. I needed to be strong, both for myself and for the sake of any future that might await me.

I waited for a few minutes to make sure he was gone before making my move. I knew I had to escape this place, no matter the cost.

I tried the door and found it unlocked. My heart raced with excitement as I stepped outside. The hallway was empty, and I knew I had to act fast.

I started running, determined to find a way out. Every step brought me closer to freedom, and I felt a surge of hope rising within me.

But then I heard footsteps behind me. Someone was coming, and I knew I had to act quickly.

I turned around and ran back to my room, hiding behind the door. Through the little hole, I saw a guard walking down the hallway.

When he was gone, I stepped out again and started running once more. I couldn't let anyone catch me, not when I was so close to escaping.

My heart was pounding in my chest as I sprinted down the corridor. I had to find a way out, no matter what it took.

I managed to get outside, but before I could even get to the gate, I was caught by one of the vampire guards and dragged back to my room.

I sat in my room, fuming over my failed attempt to escape. I didn't know who to blame for my misfortune. Was it just bad luck or was it something else? Either way, this setback wouldn't stop me from trying again. I was determined to escape this place by any means necessary.

Suddenly, the door was flung open with such force that it slammed against the wall, causing me to jump in fright.

Seth stood in the doorway, his face contorted with anger and disappointment. I could feel the weight of his gaze as he stared at me, and it made my blood run cold.

"What the hell do you think you're doing?" he growled, taking a step towards me.

I instinctively backed away, wary of his wrath. "I...I was just trying to...escape," I stammered, feeling small and helpless under his intense scrutiny.

"Trying to escape? , who said anything about trying to escape?" I replied with a sassy smirk, tossing my hair back in defiance. "I was just taking a little stroll, getting some fresh air. Is that a crime now?"

His eyes narrowed, and I could tell he was getting angrier by the second, but I stood my ground, refusing to be cowed by his intimidating presence.

Seth shook his head in disbelief. "You're a fool if you think you can get away from me," he spat. "Did you really think I wouldn't find out?"

He paced around the room, his eyes burning with fury. "I trusted you, and this is how you repay me? By trying to escape? You're a disgrace to humankind," he said, his voice dripping with venom. “I thought I could trust you."

I hung my head, ashamed of my actions. I knew I had let him down, and I didn't know how I could make it up to him.

"You've made a grave mistake," he said, turning to face me. "And now you'll have to face the consequences."

He called for the guards, and before I knew it, I was being dragged away to the dungeon, my hands bound tightly behind my back.

As I was thrown into a cell, I couldn't help but feel a deep sense of regret. I had let my desperation get the best of me, and now I was paying the price.
