You Followed me

Kal stood in the center of the forest wiping his hands clean with one of the clothes he had swiped from one of his attacker's back when he suddenly felt Talon appear beside him.

“Master…” said Talon with a small bow.

“You were following me,”

“Yes, Master,”

“Really? Cause it felt like you were spying on me,” Kal responded with a hateful expression on his face, tossing the dirty clothes he had in his hand onto the floor, on one of the dead bodies at his feet.

“I would nev…”

“Where have you been? Why wasn’t I informed about the decision made between my father and King Horansi?” Kal asked in a calm manner but his eyes were sharp and dark and all Talon could do was look down at his feet, unwilling to meet his eyes.

“I needed to direct some of the assassins tracking you away. Especially Orazel, your father’s shadow. The moment I no longer sensed him by your father’s side I knew something was up,”

“Shit…if you sensed his absence then there’s no way he didn’t sense your presence,” Kal thought
