Vina Aries*Empath is a superhuman ability that isn't supernatural. The Empath family like Vivienne's ancestors could read humans' and werewolves' minds because they have brain wave resulting from the activity of living cells' blood pumping using their hearts. Unlike the undying vampire who is considered to be dead because they don't have real hearts to pump their blood. Their hearts and heads were the sources of the dark supernatural forces that animate their bodies. Thus vampires can be killed using the sunlight, head decapitation and burned, or a stab in the frozen dead heart. What if, the stabbing tool can penetrate the black frozen heart? Mostly vampires in Vivienne's era can only be killed with decapitation and head burning or sunlight exposure.
