Chapter Twenty-Three

There was no more mention of the vampire that I encountered between Nevi and me. It may have been a dead subject between us, but I was positive he had not forgotten it. He disappeared longer than usual that night when he thought I was sleeping.

I called Geoffrey while I knew it was safe.
