He stalked back to her and with a sure hand, grabbed the collar of her shirt, and lifted her from the ground as he growled, “You were the problem the entire time!”He pulled her closer to him; his face inches from hers. “You won’t cause us any more trouble. With an ear pointed down the hall, Claire listened intently for any more noises. There. Another small cry from the door on her right. Claire didn’t hesitate as she stormed through the door, opening it to find a sleeping Quinn lying on a similar bed to the one Claire woke up on. She quickly rushed to her side, kneeled on the floor, and gently brushed the hair from Quinn’s face. “I need you to wake up, Quinn. The steady rocking and swaying of her head slowly woke Claire from her slumber. Pressure behind her eyes made her feel like her skull was split into dozens of pieces.She raised her hand to wipe her face, but the cool metal on her wrist stopped it midair.
