"I'm dying," Christine, who drank like a messy fangling, slumped into my shoulders as she licked the last remnants of my blood. Blood dripped down into my brand new white dress shirt, and her fingers were embedded into the fabric, causing it to wrinkle.

This was why I wanted to feed her back in our room, but as many humans would say, shit hit the fan. "Come on, Bella, let's get you back to the house and clean you up," I muttered in her ear.

"No," she said, muffled into my shoulder. "Just let me die here." I shook my head, unable to understand why she was having such trouble getting up, but then I recalled the first time I went too long without feeding.

She was blood drunk.

She was damn drunk off my blood by drinking far too much. Christine had done a fine job steadying herself as she drank, partially because she thought she would take too much from me. Vampires regenerate far too quickly for that to ever happen, but her delicate heart couldn't understand that.

You’ve got to be right! I bet he (dad) summoned him that’s how he could be around. Remember how confused Sebastian was about “how” he could be attached to Chris for so long.
