Adriana’s POV

The grip on my wrist was merciless as if the guard was dragging along something less than human. He didn’t look at me and didn’t acknowledge the way my feet stumbled against the polished marble floors. He simply moved forward knowing I had no choice but to follow.

His silence was unsettling. No threats, no taunts just a firm hand that refused to let me go while guiding me deeper into a world I had no business being in.

As we stepped inside the grand estate I felt the shift immediately. This wasn’t just a house. It was a darn fucking fortress. A kingdom where Rafael ruled with an iron fist from the looks of thinsg. The air itself seemed heavier and thick with something unseen but deeply felt.

The guards stationed around the entryway barely flicked their eyes toward the one leading me but they acknowledged him in small ways by straightening their backs or nodding in respect or stepping aside with silent obedience. They didn’t just respect him but they knew him.

He was

  • The Vengeful Mafia Kings’ Property   129: Basha’s countdown

Rafael’s POVThe cemetery was silent and bathed in the soft light of the sky. I stood for one final moment in front of the twin graves Adrianna's and Isabella's. My throat was dry snd my chest hollow and the ache in my bones hadn’t lessened even a bit since that day. Six years of loving her from afar and only a few moments of having her in my grasp before the universe snatched her and our daughter away. I have spent more time in this cemetery the past few days than I did in my bed. I placed the flowers I got them each with their favorite color. Isabella had always loved purple and pink while Adrianna used to be obsessed with green since I told her it was my favorite color because of her eyes. Tears stung in my eyes that moment. There was no room left for tears inside me only fire and vengeance. They would all pay and it would be swift and brutal and final. I stepped into the black SUV, the engine humming to life like a beast beneath my hand and I didn’t look back. I couldn’t beca

  • The Vengeful Mafia Kings’ Property   128: Queen and heir

Third Person POVShe stood at the edge of the old estate hidden by the arms of a dying tree. The wind howled around her brushing against her cloak as if trying to pull her back snd to stop her from seeing what she already knew too deeply and too bitterly. But Queen Amaris remained still like a stone amongst the world. Her eyes were sharp and grey like a storm, never left the man walking across the gravel courtyard below. Her last son and flesh. Rafael. He moved like a shadow cut from the body of rage itself all sharp and lethal and cold. Each step he took was heavy like he was dragging the weight of a hundred ghosts with him. Amaris watched the way his hands curled unconsciously into fists and his shoulders held tight as if he were keeping his fury caged beneath his skin. He was no longer the curious boy she had given away in quiet pain. No longer the bruised teenager she had tracked through the files of the Brotherhood watching helplessly as he was shaped into steel by a world tha

  • The Vengeful Mafia Kings’ Property   127: Queen Amris

Third Person POVQueen Amaris Basha stood by the window of her private quarters that is high above the rest of the mansion. Outside the Albanian mountains loomed like ancient gods alk of them cold and unforgiving. Snow dusted their peaks the same way it had every winter since she was a girl but tonight it felt heavier and final. She gripped the silk curtain her fingers trembling not from the cold but from something deeper and something older. A wound that never closed and on she had carefully buried beneath years of power and motherhood and forced obedience. She had spent decades being the Queen of Albania mafia. A title that came with respect and fear and suffocation in equal measure. The wife of King Basha the man the world feared and the man her people bowed to and the man she had once begged the heavens to save her from. The world only saw the crown. They never asked about the bruises or the silences. The way her smiles used to die halfway before reaching her eyes. And even if t

  • The Vengeful Mafia Kings’ Property   126: More theories

Rafael’s POVThe cemetery was almost empty save for a few forgotten flower stems and the sound of crows croaking in the distance. I stood at the edge of the graveyard with my hands buried deep in the pockets of my coat watching the fog crawl along the cracked pathways. The cold didn’t bother me anymore. Hell I even welcomed it. Maybe if I stood here long enough, it would seep into my bones and freeze whatever was left of me. Whatever piece of me had survived the fire. The tombstones sat like broken teeth all crooked and gray and tired. And then I saw them. The two identical black marble slabs. No flowers and no framed photos and no fucking candles because I couldn’t bear it.My steps were slow at first each one dragging like a weight was chained to my ankles. My chest hurt and it was thw kind of pain I hadn’t known existed like someone had scooped out my heart with a rusted spoon and left a hollow cavity that whistled every time I breathed.Adrianna Moretti.Beloved Daughter. Good Mo

  • The Vengeful Mafia Kings’ Property   125: Rage and grief

Adrianna’s POVIt was snowing again as always that even Isabella is now bored. The thick lazy flakes drifted outside the cottage window dusting the earth like powdered sugar, and settling on the old roof tiles with a silence that felt louder than words. I’d been sitting on the couch with a worn patchwork blanket wrapped around my legs and a book open on my lap but entirely unread. My fingers grazed the edges of the pages but my mind hadn’t followed the story for days. Something was just too off.It had been weeks since I heard anything from Nathan. There are no calls or random check ins from him. Just silence and the occasional bundle of cash or groceries delivered quietly to the front steps like I was some secret he was trying to keep fed but hidden.I was starting to feel like a ghost in my own life and then he showed up. The door creaked open around noon the wind pushing it slightly as the snow blew in clinging to the wool of his coat. Nathan stepped inside with his usual quiet

  • The Vengeful Mafia Kings’ Property   124: New friend

Adrianna’s POVI was moving with life the best way I knew how. Which wasn’t saying much to be honest. It wasn’t about thriving or flourishing or suddenly turning into some serene goddess who’s completely healed from all the weight of betrayal and abandonment and heartbreak and confusion. No. It was more like breathing through a cracked window in a stuffy room. It was survivin and also existing one day at a time.I kept my head down and took care of my body even when my soul felt like it had holes in it. I ate when I could and I didn’t look at the clock too often anymore and I stopped trying to reach for answers in the places I knew they weren’t coming from. Nathan hadn’t called or even drop a message. I didn’t turn the TV on either. I just couldn’t do it because every news anchor’s voice made my skin crawl now. I was scared of what I’d hear. Scared of seeing a wedding announcement and scared of seeing a fire again. Scared of anything that would confirm the thoughts I’d been too weak
