Chapter Eleven
The Villain
I woke up with a crick in my neck and an attitude. I slept horribly last night and it was partially because of the news of my new mate, my confrontation with Maya and then explaining why Maya was moping around more than usual to Garret and a falsely sympathetic Gia.
The news went over Freya's head, she was too busy sewing up a cape made of dead leaves to bother to pay attention. Gia, however, was over the moon. I've never seen her happier than the time she found out that Angelina and Brad were over. Though, I'm just biding my time to tell her that nothing is going to happen between Kaden and I. I won't let it happen.
I needed to stay away from that man if I wanted to have any chance of sticking to my plan... and maybe my sanity.

The VillainHe guided me down the stairs, past the wine cellar, to the damp, cold basement. Here, there was none of the vibrant colour and elegancy as upstairs.
