Chapter 5- Trap

" Umm...your lips are tastier than any sweet candy," Xenia's boyfriend whispered in her ear kissing her lips passionately.

She responded to the kiss by closing her eyes. Her delicate fingers moved inside his hair deepening this passionate kiss.

Well, Xenia was in a bar with her boyfriend. Sitting in his lap she was kissing the hell out of him. She loves her boyfriend more than herself and her boyfriend has the same feeling for her.

" Ronald, I love you," Xenia said breaking the kiss.

Ronald answered looking at her emotionally," Me too, Xeni baby."

Ronald is a 24-year-old average-looking guy. He works in a man's clothing showroom as a salesman. Neither he is rich nor he is good-looking like any kind of model. His looks or the situation of his pocket never made Xenia question her choice. She loves him.

He met Xenia in a nightclub and since then they fell in love with each other. It's been two years since they are together. They are planning to get married once Xenia gets a role in a tv series or film. They have been dreaming of a sweet family of their own for a long time.

Xenia was enjoying her time with Ronald when something caught Ronald's attention. The news of Ajax Hernandez's broken marriage. A channel was broadcasting some glimpses of that day when Xenia went to break Ajax's marriage.

" This girl Rosaline looks a little bit like you, don't you think?" Ronald ask Xenia pointing his finger at the TV.

An uncomfortable expression appeared on Xenia's face. She hasn't told Ronald about all this. She hasn't told him yet what she has done for money. Apparently, Ronald won't like how she broke someone's marriage.

" I don't think so," Xenia answered shortly.

Ronald said chuckling," I don't know why I can see a lot of resemblance of you in that Rosaline. I mean you guys look like sisters."

" Don't turn our date into some boring conversation, please," Xenia tried to divert Ronald's concentration.

Ronald did whatever his girlfriend said and started kissing Xenia on her neck. Xenia took a breath of relief because Ronald didn't recognise her. If Ronald couldn't recognise her then there is no way Ajax can find out about her ever. She has no idea how wrong she was.

" You think you can defeat me! Huh! Just a snap of my finger and I ca............" Xenia was interrupted by one of the casting directors.

Xenia looked at him getting back to her normal expression. She started fidgeting her fingers and gulping down nervously. Sweat beads started forming on her forehead though the AC was on. She just hopes she gets a role now.

It's been years since she was struggling to be cast in movies and TV shows but no opportunity came to her yet. Every single day she would roam behind the directors to give her any kind of role but everyone would ignore her.

" You are expressive. Specifically, your eyes. I liked it. Though your body language is a little bit rigid....umm.... It's ok," one of the casting directors said.

Xenia answered nervously," I will improve my body language. I will go to any length to fit into the character."

Putting water on her hope another casting director said," I like your spirit. But, your slim body and short height can not fit in the character. So, I hope you are understanding."

" Nowadays everything can be possible with make-up and CGI. Just give me a chance. I swear I won't disappoint you," Xenia literally pleaded but the casting directors eliminated her.

Coming out of the studio Xenia broke down into sobbing. It's not the first time she was eliminated for being short heighted and too slim. She tried a lot to gain weight and have a sexy feminine figure which this movie industry and fashion world require but unfortunately she couldn't gain it. She doesn't know when this struggle of her life will end.

Taking a deep breath she started walking in the street aimlessly. She was thinking about those times when her parents were alive and she was a normal intelligent child. Their death left a big scar in her mind that she couldn't study properly. After trying to concentrate on her studies many times, finally she gave up and dropped out of college.

Her thinking was interrupted by a phone call. Shoving her hand inside her pocket she took out her phone reluctantly and looked at the screen. It was her sister Dany. She picked up the call.

" Xeni.....Xeni......." Dany was crying continuously.

Xenia's brows curled with confusion and anxiety hearing Dany's crying sound. She wondered what happened to Dany suddenly.

" Why are you crying?" Xenia asked sounding worried.

Dany answered hiccuping," Dimitri is missing."

" What!!" Xenia almost screamed and felt like the ground under her feet has slipped away.

Dany informed further," I went to pick up Dimitri from his school but the guards told me that Dimitri has left already. I don't know where did he go! I searched everywhere including his friends and our relatives but he was nowhere to be found."

Sudden fear clouded Xenia's mind after hearing Dany's words. Did the thing happen that she has been fearing? Is Ajax behind Dimitri's missing? She was confident that Ajax will never come to know about her but still a fear was itching inside her.

" Dany, go to the poli..........." Xenia's words were interrupted by another incoming call.

It was an unknown number. At first, Xenia thought to not receive it but she doesn't know why her sixth sense suggested to her that it might be an important call. Maybe it's a call regarding Dimitri. Cutting Dany's call Xenia received the new call.

Before she could even say hello, Dimitri cried out," Xeni.....Xeni......save....me....these people....are scary. They have guns."

" Dimitri...baby... Where are you?" Xenia asked panicking.

Instead of Dimitri, a deep male voice started talking," House no 4, road no 6, *****. Come alone. If you think of going to the police then it won't end well for you too."

" Who are you? Why did you abduct him? Please, leave Dimitri," Xenia requested crying.

The male voice replied," Don't you know why he is abducted, Mrs Hernandez?"

Sarcasm was clear in his voice. The word 'Mrs Hernandez' sent a chill down her spine. Xenia gulped down nervously.

The man disconnected the call without uttering any words further. Xenia tried to contact him again but nothing worked. Xenia has already guessed that she is trapped. Trapped by Ajax. Her throat went dry just imagining herself facing Ajax. A cruel mafia heir. Moreover, her soul almost left her body thinking about Dimitri. If anything happens to Dimitri she will never be able to forgive herself. Dany will die if anything happens to her son!

Xenia knew that the only person who can help her right now is that person who bribed her. Without wasting another second she called that person but the number was unreachable. Xenia started trembling in fear. She didn't know what she should do now. She can't go to the police. She can't risk Dimtri's life.

She thought to inform Ronald but what could he do? Dimitri is already in danger. She doesn't want Ronald to be in danger as well because of her. She started everything so she will end this too. She decided to go wherever she was asked to present herself.
