“Just tell me that she will be alright now.” Cole stated and Marionette gave a jerky nod of her head.

“She will be okay for now since this is the first time that something like this is happening but after this, I don’t know if she would still be okay if it happens again.” She responded.

“Then it won’t.” Cole vowed. “I will protect her from it with everything that is in me.”

“But sometimes even everything would not be enough to protect her with.” Marionette responded.

“Why don’t you wake her up so that we can have a conversation about why she is the way she is.” Vince said in his usual cool voice but nobody could mistake the steel behind his words and the barely veiled anger. Marionette flinched at Vince words but still moved forward to Myra and then she drew Myra’s top to expose one collar bone and when it was exposed, her tattoo of entangled infinity symbols was displayed.

“Her tattoo?” Cole asked.

“It is not a tattoo, she must have told you that, it is a birthmark.” Myra stated
