I started to hold Jr even closer to my chest when we were told that a car was waiting for us. Fabian had an inkling as to why I was so overly protective of him, but I wasn't going to tell him the truth because I didn't think he needed to know that Jr. was our son and that he was the surprise I had in store for him—at least not until he showed he was truly sorry or regretful for what he had done to me. I didn't want to be there because I had a sneaking suspicion that his parents would try to start a fight or some sort of conflict when we got in the car and drove to the pack land. Even if it meant I had to transform into my strong white wolf, I was ready for anything they threw at me. I was going to fight for and guard Jr with everything I had.
