Night Out

"I need to get you home." Those were the last 'calm' words Denzel said to me at his parent's house before we returned to his house. The rest of our dialogue was 'unfriendly'.

He was pissed and wished I didn't do that in front of his parents. I felt bad about my outburst too mostly because Mr. Morgan and Hunter were there to see my downfall.

Although, I'll rise again.

"You're being pissed over nothing. I bet your mom you're so worried about doesn't care about what you do with your life." I snapped when the door closed behind us.

"That's the other way round." Objected Denzel as he stands close to the wall.

"Since she already hates me, let's cut off this engagement. But just know, I'm keeping the rings." I blustered.

"She doesn't hate you." He responded so differently than how he was feeling in the car.

He looked defeated.

"You're lying. I'm a woman, I know the looks in her eyes whenever she looks at me."

"Well, you've got nothing to worry about, princess. This engagement is only beginning. If only you can stop treating me like the villain and focus on the real monster out there, my dad."

My lips curved into a smile.

"I almost forgot about your little rush to somewhere unknown. Do you think I don't know you're sleeping with the nurse? You went to her, didn't you?"

"It's none of your business." He blankly retorted.

I couldn't hide my grin.

"I didn't know you had it in you. That's pretty impressive if you ask me."

He immediately tugged on his tie to loosen it up. I was coupled with joy for something I can't point out in particular.

His fingers went to his button next and he detached them with a bored face.

"Aren't you supposed to be sleepy? With all your drama in church." He cajoled.

I groaned so loud the neighbors could hear.

"If my mom met you, she'd hate you so much." I related.

"And once again, my mom doesn't hate you. If she did, I'd know—"

"That's not true." I shut him up. I went into my room before he completely strips naked in the living room.

I plunked myself on the bed and succumbed to sleep.

Waking up later, I was met with my cat snuggled up next to me.

"Candy," I called his name and he meowed in response. I carried him up and put a can of food ready for him. After that, I dragged my feet upstairs to where Denzel was.

I knocked on the door and a raspy voice yelled for me to come in.

"There's food for you in the microwave." He said backing me in his bed.

"What did you eat?"

"I wasn't really hungry so I just ate pizza."

"And you also ate the nurse." I chipped in.

His shoulders tensed and he turned around with his laptop beside him.

"Yeah, I did. Would you want me to do that for you too?"

"Oh, no. I don't think you're experienced enough." I squealed.

He got off the bed and ambled toward me.

"I am. Many of those women can't get enough of my tongue. All you gotta do is just sit on my fa—"

"No! I still won't let you."

My cheeks were burning up and my feet were getting wobbly. Maybe I wasn't expecting him to go on with my teasing.

"Yeah, right. If you don't think I can let's step into the bathroom together."

His hands dropped on my waist and I frowned at him.

"I like it when I'm begged to be eaten so this approach really won't work."

He took back his hands, smirking and I walked out of his room.

I don't know where this bold Denzel popped out from to admit such lewd things effortlessly.

I was watching a TV show when Denzel came downstairs all dressed up. He was in casual clothes but they weren't brightly colored.

"I'm going to my mom's." He revealed dramatically.

"Why? To see the nurse?"

"Your jealousy is so evident, it makes me feel like you want me."

"You're paying my bills, I don't even have to want you to give myself to you. But don't worry, it's never gonna come your way again."

"Oh, I see." He smiled broadly and tossed a key in my lap. "The white car in the garage is yours. Take care of it though, I can't stand scratches on them."

I felt the corners of my mouth rising.

My heart pounding against my chest confirmed that I wasn't dreaming. This was real. I just got a car.

"This is not a prank, right?" I asked checking his emotionless countenance.

"It's not."

"I wasn't expecting this..." I was speechless and at the same time, have so much to say. I didn't know what to say to him first.

"You're welcome. I'm leaving now, to see my mom. Take care of yourself." He said moving to the door.

Without reasoning, I ran to where he was and hugged him from behind.

"Sheldon?" His voice vibrated against my ear.

"Maybe when you get back, I can thank you properly for what you've always wanted," I whispered. I was so shameless.

"I don't want that or anything. It's a gift, not a trade." He replied and I unlinked my hands from his torso.

He spared me one soft stare before leaving.

My impatient mommy's boy. I never get tired of teasing him and he's always flustered.

I excitedly went to the garage to see the car. I hit a button on the key and the car made a sound as the doors unlocked.

I entered and felt how relaxing the seats were.

I hurriedly got ready to go to the nightclub and link up with Winter — that's if her busy schedule permits.

I locked up the house and with the spare key, I drove out of the garage.

I got on the main road and suddenly felt like screaming at everyone that I now have a car. I always knew Denzel needed help in spending his cash.

I listened to his playlist in the car and I liked that we had the same taste in music.

Back in the club, Winter and I met at the counter, drinking.

"What the heck happened between you and Justin?" I half yelled so she could hear me over the music.

"At first, I was drunk but then, I just went on with it. I wanted to distract myself from Henry!" She answered.

"Now you're sober, do you regret it?"

"I barely remember most of it." She shrugged her shoulders.

"I don't like that guy. He's rude and arrogant." I grumbled.

"But I remember him being so deep..."

"Ew, Winter! I don't wanna know that about him."

She drew her head closer. "So, what do you wanna know? Your escapades with Denzel? Are you that good under the sheets that he bought you a car within one week of knowing you?"

"Nope, we have not done anything like that yet. Not even once. He doesn't want to. I just tease him for fun."

"That's mean." She chuckled before swinging her head to her office. "I gotta go, Sheldon. Don't go home without letting me know. There's something we really need to talk about."

"Yes, ma'am," I yelled.

After she was gone, I scrolled through social media to keep my eyes busy. I wasn't interested in the girls wearing bikinis and dancing on stage.

Someone replaced Winter's chair beside me. I glanced at the person and my heart somersaulted a million times.

It was H freaking Hunter.

The crazy cousin who I totally dislike. If he tries anything funny here, He's toast because I know many thugs around.

"Hey, future sister-in-law. Are you here all alone?" He asked wearing a ridiculous smile on his face.

"Don't tell me you're stalking me now." I taunted.

"No, I come here once in a while. This was the first place I saw you. It's been months." He recounted.

Shit. I hoped he wouldn't blab this to Mrs. Raven.

"I like the club," I stated bringing down my sassy tone. I have to be careful with what I say to him from now on.

"I like it too. There's a place where no one knows but me. Wanna see it?"

"You mean the balcony area where a room is filled with sensual paintings?" I was feeling myself a little.

"Yeah, how did you know?" He chuckled. "Let's go see it."

Like a sheep to the slaughter, I agreed and we both went upstairs. When we got to the room, it was quiet, cold and serene.

As we stared at the paintings of unclad love-making people, all I could think about was if he had protection because I know something was stirring between the both of us. Something only a quickie would fix.
