Cassandra

I was nervous when I received a guest who completely took me by surprise. My wariness made me keep glancing around, even though we were already inside a closed room.

Grandpa showed up to see me, and his eyes lit up with joy the moment he saw Miles. It had been such a long time since I last saw that kind of expression on his face.

I loved him, but being here alone with him felt a little uncomfortable. We’d been apart for quite a while, and though I still loved him, there was a slight sense of unfamiliarity between us.

“You’re living with people who treat you well,” he said, holding his cane while observing the room around him.

This house was arranged by Dylan, he chose a place that would make me feel at ease, and honestly, it was luxurious. From what I know about his family, they’re incredibly wealthy.

“Yes, Grandpa.”

That was all I could say to him. My lips held back from saying too much. I guessed it was because of everything I’d been through. Honestly, none of this was Gra

CassandraI walked quickly. The only thing running through my mind was Miles. This couldn’t be real, I refused to believe what I’d just heard. While I was having lunch with Daniel, I got a call from Dylan about Miles’s condition. I couldn’t stop myself from trembling so hard that Daniel ended up driving me to the hospital. My leg hurt from when I had stumbled earlier, but I kept moving as fast as I could. I didn’t want anything to happen to Miles. He had been getting better lately, so why did his condition suddenly worsen so quickly? It was a shock I wasn’t prepared for.Emotionally, I was deeply bonded to Miles. He was a part of my life, and I never wanted to imagine what it would be like to lose something so important. Now, standing in front of the observation room, I saw Dr. James talking to Dylan and Sebastian. I was a bit surprised to see him there, but I chose to focus on Miles. As I stepped closer, I peered through the glass. Miles lay unconscious inside, surrounded by medical

  • The Wife He Never Wanted   Chapter 100

Cassandra“I don’t want to see you here.”It felt like a sudden strike to my head, making my eyes squeeze shut for a second.Annoying. Insolent. Damn it. Every curse I knew echoed inside my mind.I thought this morning would be a good one, going to work, finishing what I’d already completed last night. Maybe talking to Liza. Anything, really. I just didn’t want to start the day with bad, unpleasant thoughts. After such a terrible day yesterday, I didn’t want to keep reliving it. When I looked in the mirror, the fine lines near my eyes were getting more visible from all the stress. Annoying. My insomnia made it even worse, leaving me exhausted. All I wanted was a simple, peaceful morning without interruptions, but now it’s ruined because Sebastian showed up.The man in the gray suit stepped out of his car in a hurry, looking at me with deep concern—which, frankly, only made him more irritating.“I just heard my mother caused trouble here,” he said by way of explanation.I rolled my eye

Cassandra“Stop! I don’t want you here!”Standing in front of her, I faced her head-on. To me she was ungrateful and brash. Her coming here made me furious, yet the woman only smiled when she saw me.She truly never changed, there was no trace of remorse on her face, and that made my heart uneasy. With everything she had done to me, I couldn’t find peace. She used to yell at me all the time, calling me a damned daughter-in-law and barren, not realizing that it was her own son who was at fault.“You’re really still alive, and you even…” she glanced again at Miles. “You have a child. My grandson.”I felt my blood boil at the delighted look on her face. I could already feel a headache coming on as I held my breath, barely able to restrain myself.“Shut your mouth. He’s not your grandson.”Maybe I could really kill her because of her shamelessness. I also tried not to alarm Miles. As I glanced toward him, I felt a little relieved because Dylan immediately picked him up to hand him to Anna

InggridThere were so many delightful things that happened to me when I became Sebastian’s woman. A stroke of luck I never saw coming.I had already imagined a bright, beautiful future for myself. Without even realizing it, I started picking everything I wanted, luxury goods and respectful treatment. When he acted spoiled around me, and I was able to calm him down just like Adrian said, it meant I could control him. Those few encounters gave me everything I wanted. Everything was supposed to be fine. But why couldn’t I enjoy it for long?I mean… now I can’t stop comparing myself to the woman he’s with. She’s Isabella, everyone knows her as his lover, and I know just how much Sebastian has given her. They’ve been together for years, and I haven’t even been with him for a year, yet it already has to end. It feels so unfair to me.After meeting him today, everything got worse. He clearly never saw me as someone important in his life. The pain pierced through my chest, making it hard to b

  • The Wife He Never Wanted   Chapter 96

InggridIt’s been almost two weeks, and that man hasn’t contacted me at all. Or rather, I should say he’s blocked my access.Everything I’ve done to try to reach him has failed. I even tried contacting Adrian, but the man only picked up my call and spoke coldly.“It’s better for you to focus on yourself now. You do understand who you were from the beginning, right?”I hated that arrogant, annoying reply. He’s forgotten that I once helped him, and now he’s just ignoring me like this.Maybe Adrian forgot how happy he was when he looked at me and said I would be his savior. My heart hurts, and it’s been making my head ache these past few days. Just imagine… losing a man as incredible as Sebastian Moonclaire.I truly felt lucky to be the woman he spoiled. I don’t know who that woman is, but because I have a face like hers, I received so many precious and expensive things.Like this necklace I’m wearing, every time my friends see it, they feel an incredible amount of envy. Its price reache
