Chapter 52

I woke up to the quiet surroundings and noticed Ycson, West, Eros and Sol lying on the sofa while Eros was sitting on a chair next to my bed. Wait?! Where's Yvelle?! My eyes immediately found Yvelle and I breathed a sigh of relief when she was placed in the crib and sleeping peacefully.

Eros' hand was holding mine and I laughed softly as he drooled a bit. Yuck! I slowly removed my hand from him and slowly stood up but I was overcome with pain because I remembered that I was hit by a bullet earlier when we were ambushed. I also looked at my foot which was already bandaged and there was a little blood visible there.

I took a deep breath before forcing myself to stand up and holding the part of my stomach that hurt. I felt the movement of Eros so I looked at him who was now wiping his saliva. I stopped myself from laughing and faced him with sadness in my eyes.

"Are you okay?" I asked.

"I should be the one asking you that, Kim. Are you okay?" He asked me back.

I just nodde
