Challanged to a deadly duel

Lyra's POV

As I sprinted through the dense forest, my ears attuned to the distant cries that were drawing me closer with every step. My super-speed propelled me through the trees in record time, and soon I reached the scene where two boys stood menacingly in front of a girl pleading for mercy.

"Hey, leave her alone!" I demanded, my voice cutting through the tension like a knife.

The boys turned to me, sneering. "And who might you be, little miss hero?" one of them was taunted.

Ignoring their question, I repeated sternly, "I said, leave her alone!"

The boys chuckled darkly, and one of them dared, "And what are you gonna do if we don't?"

"I'll make you regret not listening," I responded, my eyes narrowing with determination.

The boys exchanged smirks before one of them made a move to grab me. But before he could lay a hand on me, I swiftly struck him in the stomach, sending him flying backward with a surprised yelp.
