Dusk came and all pack leaders had arrived in a secret location in the woods. When they got the urgent meeting message they were surprised, now that they were here they waited for an explanation.
Five Alpha werewolves were present, out of them three we're pack leaders while the remaining two were lone wolves without a pack.
All of them were very strong Alphas starting from Lucian, the Shadow Moon Pack Leader, Williams the leader of the Black Hound Pack, Berserker Beast Pack Leader - Victor and the two Alphas without packs, Ruth and Duke.
Lucian who called the meeting noticed everyone was seated so he started the meeting first informing them of the Calamity Blood Pack arriving at Star Field tonight for the hunt also.
Silence took over. They all shared the same feeling with Lucian when he first received the information.
"What!"
"Fuck!"
"This is going to be a problem"
The pack leaders were all furious knowing the Alpha Pack came to pressure them with their powers and make them back down after get had suffered deeply in weakening the Primordial Alpha.
'This is unfair! You cowards want to slap us in the face with your power '
However knowing the worth of the Wolf's Legacy, even though their chances had be greatly reduced they weren't going to fall back easily.
"Despite the fact the Coward Alpha pack are going the hunt the Berserker Beast aren't backing down" Victor spoke with a frown.
"After all the dead werewolves in my pack and the last fight is tonight, they expect me to withdraw and watch them gain more power. Now way!" Williams also took his stand ok the matter.
As he said the Black Hound Pack had suffered greatly, almost half of their werewolves were wiped out by the Primordial Alpha all through the hunt so he was furious about it.
They had all doubted and underestimated the true power of a thousand aged Alpha so they suffered the consequences.
Seeing that half of them still decided to stick to the plan he grinned happily. Honestly none of the pack leaders trusted each other but they were willing to use other power to their own advantage.
They were all going an all against on battle. All the werewolves fighting the Primordial Alpha. No one was supporting the other as they were each fighting for their chances to kill the Primordial Alpha.
"Since all the pack leaders have agreed to continue as planned what about you two?" Lucian asked the remaining Alphas.
They all knew how tempting the Wolf's Legacy's is so probably almost all the werewolves if not all will surely risk lives for it.
Duke spoke up first, he was a very strong Alpha who was nicknamed the "Alpha Beast" After wiping out his own pack power and some other close by packs.
"I can't wait to have my claws and fangs on the Primordial Alpha" It was obvious he was tempted by the power.
"What about you Ruth?" Duke spiced his word with a sinister expression.
However they were left disappointed as Ruth responded with a deep yawn expressing how bored she was.
"I'm... not interested" Ruth dragged her word and then she stood up to leave.
The scene struck everyone hard and left them dumbfounded.
Unlike other Alpha werewolves Ruth was uninterested in the Wolf's Legacy from the onset. She weighed her pros and cons and she was smart to stay out of it even without that she wasn't power hungry like the others.
She just wanted to become a strong Alpha to be able to protect herself and and after accomplishing that she was okay. She was even approached by beta werewolves and Omega werewolves who were not in any pack but she declined their offer of she forming her pack.
"Ruth! It's the Wolf's Legacy we are taking about here" Duke was shocked by her answer but he couldn't believe she was uninterested.
"So what...am still uninterested" She spoke in a low tired tone not even stoping to look back when her name was called. She just answered and kept on moving till she suddenly vanished.
'Not interested for power, then what are you interested in. More importantly why did you even come for the meeting?'
They shared similar thoughts about each other while Lucian was shocked the second time as he was caught off guard. During the beginning of the hunt when he had decided on increasing his forces so he could have an advantage of killing the Primordial Alpha, the first person he first seeked out was Ruth.
Although she had no pack her strength couldn't even be underestimated. She was more stronger than Duke and more experienced. Not only Duke but the 4 Alphas weren't a match for her on a one on one battle, without their packs.
But what concerned them was why she actually came today and then deciding not to partake in the hunt. They even thought she was playing smart, choosing to lay low till the Primordial Alpha was weakened. So today he didn't give to also invite her to the meeting and she didn't decline instead she came so he ha though she had changed her mind and was willing to partake in the hunt.
But instated reality knocked then so hard. They all had the question baffling them.
'If you were really uninterested then why did you come?'
However on Ruth's view she came showing face to the Alpha to officially stare her stand and same time she wanted to discover what news made them call the urgent meeting.
After getting the news she had nothing else to do so she left.
After Ruth's departure the remaining four Alphas concluded the meeting since they were all in agreement and left to organize their various plan for tonight.
.....
In a certain house in Star Field a boy was fully dressed in an hunting outfit, he took out his bow and arrow welding it in his left hand while he grabbed his phone with his other free hand rushing out of the house. He licked the door and when he was about to turn his ear an air piercing sound entered his ear.
Sou!
An arrow gazed pass his cheek and stuck the door. This unexpected event caused Alexander to jump and turn in fear.
"Raymond! You almost killed me" Alexander best friend, Raymond was a skillful hunter with a very high IQ, very funny, dark skinned with a cute face was the boy who Alexander shouted at. He claimed he is handsome but his baby face denies the fact.
"That's for delaying and chill it's a plastic and rubber arrow I wouldn't want to you to die before getting yourself a girlfriend"
"Hehe at least I would get one with my handsome looks but with your cute face am sure you will get a girl that will date you it of pity instead of love" Alexander countered him.
"Hey, hey okay you win now quit calling me cute, am fucking handsome" Raymond said in resignation but it wasn't over yet for Alexander.
"Now my revenge" Alexander took the plastic arrow and swiftly placed it in his bow. After making sure it was perfectly aimed at Raymond's head he released his grip.
Sou! Raymond who was watching the scene smiled and watched in anticipation without moving or planning to dodge. After he fired Raymond burst into laughter.
Bang! The arrow was no where near Raymond instead it went another direction and knocked off the metal waste bin of Mrs Harper, Alexander's neighbor.
If was all within Raymond's expectations except the part of Mrs Harper's waste bin being knocked down. He knew Alexander was a bad shooter so he predicted it wouldn't hit him and he was right.
"Oh no run!" They knew the neighbor next door wasn't the kind type, she wouldn't let it slide so they took their heels.
"Come back you you little pests!" Mrs Harper came outside and yelled.
Instead of stopping they ran faster and laughed till their heart content.
'Come back? Stop the joke, while the hell will I do that?'
Two hours later a large explosion erupted in the middle of the forest.
Boom! Awooo! The sound of a wolf howling filled the forest emanating hinge amount of pressuring aura which bore created fear in everyone heart. The wound was thunderous tearing through the night with a never before felt pressuring aura which could make the strong feel weak and the weak feel totally hopeless and powerless.
The echoes alone felt like countless screams of the dead whispering to be set free but they couldn't because they weren't the innocent ones but the evil ones instead.
Ruth Greywood squat on the top of a huge tree branch inside the forest heard the loud terrifying howl and her eyes changed and glowed crimson deep red without her control.
Despite her having absolute control over her powers as an Alpha, even during the full moon she could control her self but with just a roar she was already changing but she focused and forced her self to be in control.
'Such a frightening roar' Ruth's eye sparked and she knew it had begun.
The hunt for the... Primordial Alpha Werewolf.
“What the hell are you?” he whispered, wide-eyed.Alex didn’t answer. His attention suddenly shifted as he heard a series of cracking sounds—bones snapping, twisting. He turned quickly. The werewolf he had just beaten down was shifting again. But this time, it wasn’t into human form—it was into a full, mid-sized wolf. Sleek and agile, the wolf let out a sharp growl before darting into the woods.Gone.The beast vanished into the trees with incredible speed—way faster than when it moved on two feet.“Shit,” Alex muttered. He cursed himself for letting his guard down.He turned back and spotted Douglas running in the opposite direction, panic fueling his steps as he rushed to his jeep."Great. Just great. Another damn problem," Alex muttered under his breath. He rushed back to Caleb, who was lying on the ground, starting to wake up. Alex knew he couldn’t stick around to explain anything. He turned and sprinted out of the woods.---Back at the car, Alex found Layla still in the passenge
I need to use the restroom,” she said lightly as she passed by.Ray stood up and hurried after her. “Daisy!” he called, but she continued walking.Once she entered the restroom, Alex followed and gently held her shoulder.“What?” Daisy asked, frowning.“You’re mad,” Alex said softly.“So?” Daisy shrugged, trying to hide it.“It doesn’t suit you. You’re better when you’re… calm,” Ray said, still holding her hand.Daisy kept quiet, though her frown softened slightly.“You know I’m not into Katherine,” Ray added.“I don’t know…” Daisy hesitated.“Im not into her it’s you I care about. Not her,” Ray blurted out, almost without thinking.Daisy’s eyes widened, and a soft blush appeared as the words sank in.Daisy wasn’t listening anymore. She had already heard what she wanted to hear, even if he didn’t see it exactly as she had imagined. It was better than nothing. She moved closer and kissed Ray on his lips. Ray felt fireworks exploding in his mouth. He didn’t expect Daisy’s sudden action
No wonder! No wonder! Ruth became visible again, her mind racing with thoughts. She truly didn’t know how powerful the Wolf’s Legacy was, but she could sense it—it was stronger than any normal power. Right now, she was starting to understand its depth. It was… tempting."What do you mean?" Alex asked, growing more curious."My father told me," Ruth began, her voice low, "the Alpha Devouring Touch is one of the Primordial Alpha’s powers. With a single touch, you can absorb another’s power, become immune to it… or completely devour it, so the victim can never use it again. And you can even return it, if you want."Alex and Ray’s hearts pounded in their chests. It was terrifying, almost unimaginable."But to you, it’s a double-edged sword," Ruth continued. "If your body can’t handle it, it will kill you."Alex stayed silent, listening intently."Alex," Ruth said firmly, "do not ever attempt it until you become an Alpha. Do you understand?""Yes," Alex nodded."But what happens if he does
Three figures ran at full speed and stopped in front of an old warehouse. They stepped inside carefully—two females and one male. Ruth was one of the females; the other two were her friends. The stench hit them first: blood, decay, and death. They rounded a corner and froze. Bodies lay strewn across the floor, covered in blood. Ruth’s eyes locked on the man who had fallen to the ground after Duke had removed his claws from the man’s stomach.“Duke! What the hell did you do?!” one of the females shouted.Duke’s voice was calm, evil even, as he kicked the body aside. “Relax. I did this for everyone. It’s simple—you kill us, or we kill you. I chose the latter.”“You just started a war between the hunters and the werewolves,” Ruth said coldly. The people Duke had killed were hunters sent to negotiate with the werewolves, to set boundaries and prevent further bloodshed. But Duke had ignored it all, killing his own allies. The male hunter stared at the two women beside him, helpless.“No… y
The hunter behind the first one who had died noticed his comrade was gone. Panicking, he alerted everyone and fired his gun toward the break where he suspected the enemy was.Bang! Bam! Bang! The gunshots continued for a while before silence descended. The hunters were at the brink of collapse, realizing they had enemies waiting outside. Confused, they didn’t know what to do.The choice they made was risky, but they had no other option—they had to try.“Everyone, move out at once!” Calvin commanded. They charged outside.“Retract for now!” another command was shouted. They rushed toward their vehicles—and then everything exploded.Boom! Boom! Boom! Three of their SUVs blew up, the blast sending some hunters flying back.“Arrgh!” They crashed heavily onto the ground, groaning in pain. Wounded and disoriented, they scrambled, trying to regain control.“Look out! It’s on the cliffs!” one hunter shouted, warning the others. Suddenly, a shadow flashed past them. Everyone brought out their
Ding. A message appeared on Alex’s phone from Raymond: “Alex… she’s gone.”Alex froze, his expression hardening. He tried to speak, to explain, but his voice faltered. Mrs. Laurel noticed the change.“What is it?” she asked.“Nothing…” Alex muttered.“Pass me the phone.”“But—” Alex started, hesitating.“The phone. Or you can keep me company all day,” she interrupted, raising an eyebrow.Fine. Alex handed the phone to her. Mrs. Laurel read the message, her expression calm, and handed it back.“School hours are almost over. It’s not surprising she left him,” she said. Alex realized she believed it too. One less explanation to give—he felt a small relief.“Can I go now?” he asked. Mrs. Laurel waved him off, signaling he could leave.Alex wasted no time rushing out. The bell rang—school hours were over! Ray’s plan had worked perfectly. They had spread rumors of Alex and Ray being at school to make their absence believable, avoiding suspicion. Everything had gone smoothly… until now.Alex
