As I pulled into Bearly, I started to get this antsy feeling. Something really didn't feel right with coming here.

"Hey you okay?" Henry linked me.

"Yeah just got a weird feeling is all," I linked back.

We walked up to the bouncer who was letting people in.  "What do you lot want?" said the tiger.

"Obviously we want in," was Stephan's reply.

"Well I don't recognize the lot of you so I can't let you in."

I have never really been the person to tell no to and this really aggravated me with everything going on, so I grabbed the tiger by the throat and asked him through gritted teeth, "Do you know who you are talking to, pet?"

 "N...n..no." was the gurgle reply.

"I am Alpha Minerva and this is Alpha Thomas, you will let us in or I will make sure you will never walk again. Do I make myself clear?"

As I was releasing his neck he responded "Yes Alpha. I'm sorry for not realizing who you were, please enter."

When we entered the club, I now remember why I am not a fan of were clubs. The place was barely standing up with the holes in the walls and the brawls happening all over.  It is rather a gross club and I am not entirely sure why these weres even go to it but hey each their own.

"Well Thomas? Where is he?" I asked impatiently.

"Just hold on Minerva, I am looking for him."

I went to the bar to get me a shot when I bumped into someone and about fell over.  "Oh my I'm sorry! I just wasn't paying attention.. wait you're Alpha Minerva, I am so sorry. Please forgive me. I didn't mea......"

Cutting him off, I said, "It's no problem, just leave me be.  I'm looking for someone anyways."

" Who is it? I might be able to help since I know almost everyone in this place."

"Jacob, leave Minerva alone, she doesn't need help.  I found who we are looking for."

"Alpha Thomas I am sorry forgive me. I'll be moving along now.  Alpha Minerva it was a pleasure."

Rolling my eyes as I walked off I looked at Thomas.  He seemed slightly on edge. "Why are you tense Thomas?"

"I'm not Minerva, lets go and get this out of the way. I am already tired of being here."

I found this rather interesting because Thomas is never in a hurry to leave a club let alone just to get back to the packhouse.  We made our way to the back of the club to a table with 4 of Thomas's pack members.  All four men were tan with dark eyes and dressed like they were mercenaries.  "Alpha Thomas fancy seeing you and your whore here tonight.  What can we do for ya?" said what I suppose who the leader is.

"Zach I would keep your mouth shut on the insults of I were you.  This is Alpha Minerva, we need to speak to you about some kidnappings happening here lately." Alpha Thomas said.

"I thought that was her but I couldn't resist to see her reaction.  To say she has a poker face is an understatement, it's almost like she has conditioned herself to take insults without falter." smirked Zach.

Slightly pissed off at the disrespect from him, I looked at Thomas and said, "I don't have time for games, and he obviously isn't the culprit, let's go."

Zach looked a little taken at the fact I blatantly disregarded him and his groupies.  He stood up and stepped towards me like he was sizing me up, so I stood my ground.

"Alpha I apologize for the insult, I really didn't mean it, I just wanted to see your reaction."

I waved him off, turned around and said "Lets go" and walked to the front.  Henry met up with me while walking towards my truck, he asked, "What happened? You don't look to happy."

"Well Henry, someone is lying to me and I am pretty sure it isn't the pack members I just met."

"Well then lets head back and figure this out."

The ride back was quiet.  I let Henry drive because I was thinking of how exactly I was going to go about figuring out the next step.  Henry pulled up to the packhouse and as I was getting out I felt Thomas grab for me.  "Let me go. I will be spending the night alone." He dropped my arm and I walked off.  Upon entering, one of my omegas ran to me with a letter.  I thanked her and walked up to my office closing and locking the door behind me.

Minerva,

You really should just stop looking.  You will not find the girl in time before we attack you. After all you are just in the way of a bigger plan and you will die just like your family did. Stop trying to find me. You will not succeed.

I reread it again and couldn't think of who would really want me dead.  Unless they weren't of Alpha blood and couldn't take a straight challenge for the Alpha title.  I pondered over this for a few more minutes when I looked at my watch showing it was almost 11 o'clock.  "Guess I'll go to bed and go see the Porter's myself and see if there is any clues that could lead me somewhere." I said to no-one in particular.

I went to my room locking to door behind me and headed straight to the shower.  I just wanted that nasty club off of me and to get some sleep before training in the morning.  I stood under the hot water for awhile thinking, wondering why am I so hated? Am I that bad? I know I have fought battles and killed rogues but I don't what I have done for someone to kill me.

Getting out I dried off and put a comfortable shirt and shorts on and slid into bed.  When I fell asleep, instead of my normal nightmare, this one was different.  I was standing there bleeding out looking at Thomas who had a knife in his hand.

--Thomas POV--

When we seen Zach at the club I knew that Minerva would know instantly he had nothing to do with what was going on with the kidnapped child.  She is to smart for that and I really knew when she ignored his insult to her and she left.  I let the ride back to the packhouse stay quiet because I wanted to think for myself what my next step should be to get her off my back.  When we got there, I went to grab her to kiss her and get in her bed to try and show her that I am on her side, when she jerked from me and said to let her go and she was spending the night alone.

I watched her walk from me up the stairs and almost regret going to kill her for what she did to me so many years ago rejecting my offer to be her chosen and combining our packs.  Instead she chose her fated, a simple omega who would make better kitchen help than an Alpha.

Soon my Minerva.  Soon you will have nothing left to worry about.

Slate shifted back at the same time I did. "The pain, you felt it too?" He asked me."Yes," I said back making my way back into the pack house to find our mates. There was no signs of anyone that we could see and that could only mean that everyone made it out."Kelly is Jason and Kate down there?"I mindlinked her. What felt like an eternity she responded,"No Alpha. Neither are down here.""They're not down there. We need to protect what we can and game plan later. I don't think they are hurt or we would have felt it." I said to Slate. He nodded and we ran outside. All there was was fighting and dark magic being used to explode the cottages surrounding the packhouse. We shifted back to join in the fight when there was a sudden flash of white light at my gate. The coven of Simon and Celeste came rushing in joining the fight against the dark witches. The screams inten

  • The Woman Alpha   Chapter TWENTY: Jason

My goodness my mate is absolutely beautiful. He was everything I dreamed about and I couldn't help but drool over how perfectly built he was. I visibly eye raped him taking in his defined 6 pack, perfect pecks and those arms that could pin me anytime they wanted. He was just absolutely gorgeous."Are you going to lay there and stare or are we going to finish getting undressed and taking a much needed shower?" he asked smirking at me.Rolling my eyes and smirking at him, I stood up and slid my dress off my shoulders letting it drop to the floor. I was still in my stilettos, so I stepped out of my dress and sauntered my way up to him. I could see the fight on his face wanting to take me then and there but also wanting to shower. I smiled and walked past him pulling my hair out of its braid where it flowed behind me. I could feel him watching me so I added a little sway to my walk.I stepped in the bathroom and

I got Slate's attention as Jason and I headed towards the exit to the stairs. He grabbed Kate and caught us quickly. None of us said a word until we got to the landing of the Alpha floor. I seen that Henry was waiting on us, so I stopped everyone and looked at Jason and Kate, "What you are about to see is between us and whoever is on the other side until this comes to an end. I am not sure what is going to happen but you both need to stay calm no matter what you see. Can you do that for us?"They both shook their heads yes at me as we stood outside of my office door. I started to opening the door and the first thing I seen was that some of the men were half naked and covered in blood. The next thing I noticed was that both teams were in here and it was crowded. But the final thing I noticed which was the most important was the little girl wrapped in a blanket on my couch."Alpha, I think they were waiting on us. There wasn't ma

We exited the conference and merged into the crowd. It felt great to have a mate again and one that was excited to be mated to me. I looked around and took in what Kelly had transferred this place into and how beautiful it all really was with the blacks, blues, and greys. She made sure that the place was covered in streamers, lights, and that the bar was full. She even got the tables and chairs around the ballroom spruced up. I glanced around until I found Thomas standing near Henry conversing with another wolf I did not recognize so I headed towards Henry to introduce Jason. "Well Henry, guess who I met today?" I asked. "Well guessing that since he is attached to you and you have a big smile on your face that you met your mate," he said smiling. "Yes I did, Henry this is Jason, Jason this is my beta Henry." "Nice to meet you Jason, I think you and I will have to work something out about keeping Minerva here out of trou

"Now that we are back and it seems that everyone is finished with dinner, lets move to the ballroom for the night of your lives." I said over the crowd. I watched as they got up to disperse out of the door moving across the hall. I stepped down and I noticed my mate hanging back. So I approched him. "How are you fairing this evening Jason?" I asked with a smile. He returned it making me swoon, "Okay I guess, Alpha Minerva. Being in a room full of werewolves I do not know is different." "I know what you mean for sure. Would you mind escorting me across the hall? The heels are a little wobbly for me." "Of course I can. Can I ask you something?" "Of course, you can ask me anything." "Are you my mate? I feel drawn to you in a weird way and I did not feel the pull with that one chick that tried saying she was." "I am glad you went ahead and brought that up. In fact, yes I am your mate

"What now Slate?" I asked him as he drug me across the hall into a secluded corner."They're moving the girl and I sent the men to follow them to keep tabs the best we can.""We need to go Slate. This is sounding sketchy and we need to be the center of this to get that baby out of his hands.""I know Minerva, but you can't just leave this ball without a reason and we do not need to start a war tonight with so many Alphas that do not know the situation," he said with a sigh."You're right. But you know we are going to have to keep an eye out tonight. If he is moving her, then he must be getting ready for an attack.""I am not real sure about any of it, but if he was smart he would wait. I have the men following and I will keep the tabs Minerva, keep your focus on the ball and I will be in the background for the information. Plus we have to win over our mates."I let out a sigh and turned from Slate. "Well t

Slate's POV----I looked back down the stairs searching for the woman who smelled like cedar and honeysuckle."We have to keep our distance for awhile until we can get them alone to explain to them what is happening," Minerva whispered beside me.I glanced at her to see a smile plastered on her face but eyes searching for her mate. I took another look across the bottom floor when I caught the eye of a beautiful human. She had blonde hair and piercing green eyes. She had a simple lavender dress that hugged all of her curves just right. "Mate," said Erebus.I bumped Minerva and nodded towards the woman when she tightened her grip on my arm. I followed her eyes to the man standing beside my mate. Twins. He to had blonde hair and green eyes. Both human. Why would she pair us with humans? I wondered as we made it to the bottom floor. As some Alpha's here

Slate's POV-When Minerva woke up out of her unconscious state. I already had an idea of what she experienced as my mom did the same for me."How are you feeling?" I asked her."I'm okay. Just making sense of what just happened," she said to me weakly.Sitting beside her, I placed my arm around her as she cuddled against my side. "I never thought I would ever get to see my mom again and yet she was there, talking to me, telling me about the prophecy.""I know what you mean. My mom had done the same for me and it took me awhile to process it. I just hate we didn't come to you sooner so it wouldn't be so hard to process," I said squeezing her shoulders. She smiled at me and sat up. "Well we better get some sleep while we can. It's going to be a long day tomorrow."Smiling I moved around to the other

  • The Woman Alpha   Chapter THIRTEEN: Mom

It wasn't a soft landing when I fell through the book. I sat up quickly trying to gather what happened. Looking around it was a beautiful meadow with wild flowers lining the tree line. Not to far from me was a spring fed pond lined with rocks and a lone tree. I approached the tree when I see on the other side a bench with a woman sitting on it. I approached slowly on guard of who it could be. When I made it to the edge of the bench, slowly the woman turned towards me with a bright smile. "Minerva my dear child. How you have grown." "Mmm... mmm... mom?" I asked. "Yes my daughter. Come sit and lets talk about everything." I finished approaching her and sat down. She grabbed me hand and held it while smiling. I didn't know I was crying until I felt her wipe my cheeks. "I'm sorry my child. I wish I could have been with you everyday but unfortunately the prophecy wouldn't have it. I couldn't wait for this
