Chapter 80 - Deanna

I sigh as I lean over the dining room table and stare at my laptop.  How could Brett have let things get this bad and this fast? 

I run my hand through my hair and sigh again.  He really has learned nothing from me.  I know he rarely listened, but this is ridiculous. 

I don’t even think anyone is reviewing the bills when they are submitted.  I haven’t seen the invoices yet, but I can tell by the company names they are bogus companies.  The more important thing is to see who took the checks.  It is all in the past, but we can make sure it doesn’t happen again. 

As I slowly shake my head while my eyes scan further down the report, Connor sits down next to me and wraps his arm around my waist.  “Love, is it that bad?  You just started looking over the reports.”
