The bedroom was well-lit. The lights, spotlight, and wall lamp were all turned on.

The brightness was a little glaring for Sarah. “John, turn off everything except the wall lamp.”

“Sure, Ms. York.” As Sarah arrived at the room, John adhered to her requests and turned off the lights and spotlights. He exited the room silently.

Sarah sat by the bed, and her gaze landed on James’ face. He seemed well; he looked like an ordinary person.
